Watching this one "VERY" closely. If Whitmer gets her way and can shut this pipeline down there would be thousands of jobs lost, skyrocketing fuel prices in the general region and people in the U.P. or most of Northern Michigan are about to get tenderly loved because lots of their fuel comes from that pipeline.

She has apparently been watching the Colonial pipeline shutdown and decided to try it here.
The UP is a lot more blue/purple than most people think. I almost hope she does it, because the more people mad at her, the better. Aside from Detroit's Chief Craig, I haven't heard of any decent candidate to run against her next year. We have some great local conservatives around the state, but the GOP leadership will find some entrenched RINO like DeVos or Schutte to back instead, like always. |

It is obviously an attack on oil from the Marxist regime. Enbridge has been pushing a solution for Stretchin' Gretchin's environmental concerns by tunneling under the straights and running line 5 through the tunnel and they stand in the way of that, too. That pretty much shows it is not about the environment at all, it is about using the power of the government to crush them.
Line 5 is a crude products pipeline. To my knowledge, it does not supply refined products like the one that got cyberattacked. It should not affect the UP. It does supply one of Canada's largest petroleum refinery areas in Sarnia, Ontario just across the St Clair River. Line 5 actually runs through the back corner my Dad's farm. |

I agree this witch needs to go because of the way she is handling this and the way she is running Michigan into the ground. But first I ask you to think about this line running under the world's largest freshwater lakes. It has had anchor strikes and just years of deterioration. I don't have the answers to this but something has to be done. Stealing a company's money is wrong and outright stealing. I am not or no way a Democrat,or a liberal, just a very concerned person who knows the value of fresh water being a farmer.

The Governor of Michigan cannot overrule a treaty between the US and Canada that requires TEN YEARS NOTICE before that pipeline can be shut down. It may take some time for the case to get through the courts, but Canada is in the process of filing in federal court to shove this one up her ass.
