I agree.

CR is pretty good as well, but I think Skyfall has more depth and is more cinematic.

Gotta go with Casino Royale.  It brought the franchise back from its death spiral, and reinvigorated it.

The opening parkour scene was very cool to watch for the first time.  It really did reset the expectation of Bond into him being an athletic somewhat brutal man.

Craig was a so-so Bond.

The original idea for Bond was, "an elegant man." Ian Fleming thought Connery was too rough for the job, and Craig can't hold a candle to Connery's charm.

If you want a brutal killer, stick to the Bourne movies.
If you want action, stick to Mission: Impossible.

If you want class, Bond is (was ) your man.

And while I agree that Sean Connery is THE Bond, Craig and Dalton play it closest to the book for what it’s worth. Y’all can fight me but Roger Moore was the worst Bond. Can’t say George Lazenby even counts.

Spectre.  The scene where bond shows Moneypenny the video tape from M, then goes beyond MI-6 to recruit and do the right thing.  Craig’s Bond has realistic emotions and makes his revenge authentic, instead of just a guy doing what he’s told like previous Bonds.

Amen brother.  Craig is a real asshole; I had the misfortune of watching one of his Bond movies, thought wow, the guy is a real psycho - it seems to come naturally to him.

Plus he's a huge anti-gunner, despite using them in his movies all the time.  Hypocrite.

Roger Moore was Bond in my youth, so he's the one I measure everyone else against. IMO, he was the most entertaining actor to play the part. He was badass, but not in an MMA type of way like Craig. Moore also played the suave aspect of the character exceptionally well.

He's probably my favorite.

Daniel Craig is the only Bond actor worth the title.  The rest are soyboy pretty boys or Sean Connery, who only gets props because he was the first popular Bond actor.

I’ll give that opinion a pass since it was your childhood bond just like Pierce Brosnan was bond when I was growing up.

Best part of any of the Roger Moore movies was in MWTGG where he sucks the jewel off that belly dancer

Agreed. Maybe the emotions making the vengeance in the series more authentic is why I actually rate Daniel Craig pretty high, maybe just below Connery, personally.

Take a peak at the books, Bond was a psycho in them too. When it comes down to his job, he was fairly autonomous killing machine who also happened to fuck every women he came across except Moneypenny.  As far as Craig being an anti-gunner, actors and actresses are whores. At the end of the day, playing with fake guns makes them shitloads of money so they do it.

Also the opening scene was great, as was 'Dead Bond's' new life on the beach playing the scorpion game...

Best of the Craig era, and I'd say in the Top 7 of 007 movies.

He was great.

The problem was 3/5 scripts were terrible. And the 2 good ones were still uneven.

This is a problem for all of the Bond films - solid actors but very inconsistent script quality.

Pierce Brosnan brought Bond into the modern pistol age with the Walther P99 in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies (overall the best equipped Bond movie in terms of realistic gadgets; IED detonator watch FTW):

The only thing I liked about "View" was that part of it was shot in Chantilly at the Horse Museum. I spent some time at the Chateau Chantilly for the World Helicopter Championships. Beautiful area, not too far from Paris. If the movie's on TV I'll watch just for that.

This, I voted Skyfall but in reality could go either way. Only one I didn't care for was Quantum of Solace. I've been a life long Bond fan and I try to just enjoy the genre and not over think it. I like some movird more than others and some Bond actors more than others but I think every actor brought something to the franchise and the character or at least had one good movie. So maybe not Lazenby but he did bed every hot female actress on the set (like rumor had it, every one of them) and he somewhat pulled off wearing a ruffle shirt. Connery could not have worn a ruffle shirt
