| Maybe this is the right place to post this. I am looking for a fairly inexpensive ACH or MICH helmet for personal use. I have a dept helmet, but I am looking for another for a bug out kit. I don’t want to spend $400-1000 through some of the big name makers. I have saw some websites like helmetfans.com and a couple others but I am skeptical of them. They appear to be from overseas but ship from US locations. Has anyone ordered from them or any experience with them? I keep looking at the mil-spec gear in EE for some to come up but no luck yet. |

I think it was either Shoei or Arai helmet company that used to have a slogan that said "If you have a $10 brain, then buy a $10 helmet" Ballistic armor is one of those things where it 100% applies that you get what you pay for. I wouldnt buy from a no name unheard of, untested company. If you are short on funds, buy something used. |
