Honestly those 3d printed parts look like a cool idea, and I've absolutely seen dumber and more niche products than this.

There are some practical uses for it, so I don’t get the derision.

That said, it’s $15.  Who gives a shit.  Do you really need to penny pinch that badly?

My spare uppers usually end up on complete lowers, lol.

I’d actually like one.

I pull my uppers off the lowers to fit into my Pelican when I’m flying to compete. My upper is at the mercy of the TSA morans during inspection.

Couldn't they (or do they) slide the bolt back anyways to check the chamber? Assuming they do, then you'd still be at the mercy of the TSA morans to reinstall this cover after inspection...

...damned if you do, damned if you don't, damn you TSA

I have upper receiver covers. They’re shaped differently though. A lot like this:

I thought your guns were supposed to be in a locked case inaccessible to anyone but you.

I don’t see how the towel helps when the tsa mouth breather gets it gets it out and handles it.

I also pull batteries out of everything and take pics of my scope turrets if I have anything other than 0-0 dialed in. I don’t trust tsa.

We weren't talking about protecting a firearm from a TSA agent. ??

What a dumb idea. The proper cover for an upper is a lower. Otherwise, in a pinch for traveling, just close the upper in a clean case and call it a day. FFS.
