A small grey and white former feral cat will charge to attack, while a slightly tubby black cat will trip the intruder up trying to get pet, and maybe climb up the intruder to get closer to his or her face, while a 66 pound shaggy dog jumps up on the intruder trying to lick his face. With all that going on I'm likely to hesitate about firing a gun.

One big girl who may have some pit in her (pound dog) and three dachshunds behind her. I'll have Glock 34.5 and the wife will have a XDM Elite 9mm. Glock has a twenty seven round mag and the wife has 22 rds. There may or may not be a pound black cat in, but honestly if she catches a bullet in the melee I'd be okay with that because that is a mean kitty.
