Hezbollah statement -

We are not at all surprised by the political positions and field actions taken by the US administration, especially the recent statements by the American President openly endorsing and declaring explicit support for the Zionist aggression and aggression against the Palestinian people.

“This is the true essence of the complete American policy in its continuous support for aggression and terrorism since the inception of this occupying and usurping entity.

“We consider the United States a full partner in the Zionist aggression and hold it fully responsible for the killings, crimes, siege, home demolitions, and horrific massacres against innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

“We call on the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation, who are well aware of the grim truth about America and its aggression against the peoples of our nation in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, to denounce American intervention and the involvement of its international and regional partners and expose this intervention on all political, popular, media, and legal levels and in various regional and international forums and gatherings.

“The deployment of aircraft carriers to the region with the aim of boosting the morale of the defeated enemy and its disillusioned soldiers reveals the weakness of the Zionist military machine despite the crimes and massacres it commits. Consequently, it requires continuous external support to sustain this temporary usurping entity.

“Therefore, we affirm that this step will not intimidate the peoples of our nation or the resistance factions that are prepared for the confrontation until final victory and complete liberation”.

My bet is that Netanyahu recognized Biden was up for re-election.  And Biden knows he won't be re-elected if he refuses to supply Israel with any requested weapons/ammo/supplies.  So Netanyahu is going to get whatever he wants to wage this war.

Netanyahu is one of the most intelligent leaders the world has ever known.
Fun fact: As a young man, Netanyahu was accepted at both Harvard and MIT.  He couldn't decide which school to attend.  So he made the GD choice: he accepted both.  He simultaneously attended both schools, and graduated from both.

I have been sick and really don't want to try and read a hundred pages of dudes making this about Ukraine/Russia so has this been posted yet?

https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/biden-administration-unrwa-gaza-terrorists/2023/10/10/id/1137820/

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which is responsible for helping Palestinian refugees but reportedly has harbored those who want to harm Israel, has received more than $730 million from the Biden administration.

The restored funding push under President Joe Biden came despite a 2021 State Department report noting the agency had allowed Hamas terrorists to build tunnels under its schools and to stockpile weapons "in or near" other facilities, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

"UNRWA also has a cash assistance program," FDD senior adviser Rich Goldberg told the Post, noting the UN does not categorize Hamas as a terrorist group, and does not have a "political litmus test" on international aid.

The Trump administration ended funding to UNRWA in 2018, but Biden reversed that decision, and the U.S. is the agency's largest funder, the Post reported.

Enia Krivine, senior director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies' (FDD) Israel Program, told the Post that UNRWA contributes to violence toward Israelis and that the U.S. should immediately review its support.

The Hamas terrorists that kidnapped and butchered Israelis on Saturday "are a generation of Gazans who have been raised in UNRWA camps," Krivine said. "UNRWA was established to perpetuate the refugee problem."

"The whole purpose of refugee programs is to reduce refugees and to repatriate refugees and to give them a life and a nation," Krivine said. "UNRWA does the inverse. UNRWA also teaches antisemitic, anti-Israel content in their schools. It's really a scandal that the U.S. and the Europeans have funded these curricula through generations of Palestinians.

"UNRWA has been used as staging grounds for attacks. They've discovered terror tunnels under UNRWA buildings, registered Hamas members have been employed by UNRWA   it is rotten to the core."

The State Department announced in February it provided more than $890 million for Palestinians' since April 2021, with more than $730 million going to UNRWA, the Post reported.

The State Department, which has yet to pause any funding to groups in the Palestinian territories, did not respond to a request for comment, the Post reported. The U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs also did not respond to a request for comment.

There is still some M110 out there on the 155 side, the only time it is seen though is for TACP shoots.

M110A3 made with reclaimed M483 bodies should be fielding in the near future.

Israel needs to keep an eye on its munitions expenditure rate. Also Israel needs to maintain stockpiles/reserves to defend itself from any potential counter offensives from any enemy or peer threats.

This is correct. Israel does not have to regional force projection necessary for a prolonged campaign beyond say Damascus.

That said there is some room to work in the range that they do have effective force projection.

I wonder how well the elevator works now.

The WW3 apocalypse talk seems hopefully a little overblown. On the one hand everyone says the Pali's are scum of the muslim world, then on the other hands everyone says they're going to draw everyone into the fight. Doubt it. No one, outside maybe Hezbollah is going to stick their neck out for Hamas or even a bunch of civilians that they don't want to take on.

In order for Israel to eliminate Hamas, they are going to have to level most of Gaza and kill a lot of civilians in the process.

This will inflame the Arab world.

Depending on how hot things get, this could topple several governments.

Depending on linkages, Iran may be directly linked to the attacks.  That would almost force an attack of some sort on Iran by Israel, which could pull in other players like China and Russia.

China and Russia have already lined up behind "Palestine" and blamed the massacre on either the US or Israel depending on the day.

Very easy to see how this one could blow up.

At this point things have gone to the extreme.  Does this mean that Israel will go after the male children of the leaders of Hamas wherever they are?  Mosad use to be pretty good at taking out people around the world.
