lol, Israeli forces aren't stupid.

Those are supposed to be mounted against armor that can withstand the blast when the explosives inside them detonate.

lol You do realize the Kontakt ERAs are sometimes bolted to a rubber type material side skirt, right? They're not always directly bolted up against armor plates. You can see the rubber side skirts with a hole blown through it in your last pic.

Here's a close up pic from the link you posted, you can see the rubberized side skirt where the ERA is bolted.

Park a couple Ballistic Missile Subs off the Med and the first reprisal attack after the MOABs fall  gets the offending nation's royal palace or presidential residence and their governmental chambers flattened, 2nd attack we destroy every power station, water treatment station, and waste water treatment station in every major urban population center in the country, 3rd reprisal attack we nuke their capital and sink every military ship in their port, and set every oil field ablaze.

There's a way to win wars without winning heart and minds.

agreed, but we don't have the will as a nation to fight like we did in WWII

I think its part of our current insanity. Humanity wants to fight something. Either we join together and fight an existential threat, or we fight ourselves. Either way, we will fight

The image you posted was for empty era blocks without filler providing some protection.

From the link, for context:
As a result of a combination of these unfortunate circumstances, many tanks rode into Grozny with Kontakt-1 bricks, but with no explosives inside. Similar cases of theft have been reported recently in Ukraine.

It is interesting to note that even empty Kontakt-1 blocks can still offer a modicum of additional protection from light grenades due to the increased size of the air gap, as demonstrated during combat in Grozny. The additional space provided by the empty box itself (70mm) and the air gap between the box and the side skirt (17mm) increases the total size of the air gap from 745mm to around 830mm.

Regarding kontakt on rubber skirts, there is still armor beyond that rubber skirt in the form of the tracks and wheels and hull of the tank.  It would be a very bad idea for a tank crew to have an open hatch when that kontakt cope screen got hit with anything to touch it off.  Ask Ivan.

They're using a version of the Russian tandem PG-7VR. It has two charges, first one is supposed to detonate the ERA, second is supposed to go through the hull. From the looks of it, it seems like these versions actually work compared to the few flawed ones I've seen on videos of the Russian ones.

lol In one of the first ambush video released by hamas, they had overhead video of the ambush site, it was the similar to that one, Isrealis bunched up in the open, no overhead cover, and their tanks parked a few yards away. At the time I thought to myself, that was a target rich environment for a dude with an ordnance armed drone. Few days later, low and behold.

Ask Ivan.

The empty ERA blocks are not the subject, I'm showing you what they're bolted on to because you said they need to be bolted on to hard armor that can withstand the blast and as evident, not true. And yes, bolting ERA to the top of the tank turret ( or in the case, top of the cope cage) where the hatches are, can be dangerous. But that doesn't seem to stop Ukrainians from doing it as well. lol

I do understand better what you are implying, we were probably just talking past each other.   But for better drone defense, you do not want to put kontakt era that has explosive filler in any area that would be dangerous when it goes off.  There are some early examples of Ukrainian forces putting the era in bad spots too, but more recently there are dedicated anti drone nets and ecm jammers that are a better solution.  I think Israeli forces might need to catch up in using these in larger numbers some areas.

Chicken wire as anti drone netting.

Dedicated ecm jammer on a US Stryker.

Edited to represent my views. Surrender doesn't fix anything, it just delays the battle. These people will never change. They need to not be.

There's a way out but our administration and the court of public opinion don't have the stomach for it. Drop MOABs on Tehran and Damascus while leveling every square inch of GAZA. Pull back every student visa for every student here from that part of the world and seal the damn border.

Watch the video closely.

The guy in street with RPG does NOT shoot the police car.
Seconds later as he walks away he pulls the rocket/warhead from the launcher.

The shooter is not in frame and the projectile appears to be fairly small.  It comes in from the right side, past the blue pole, and appears to skip off the ground before hitting the car.

ETA:  Looking at it again in HD, I'm not sure it skips off the ground.  Maybe another motor kicked in?

At the very end it looks like he's rotating it to inspect the primer, so either dud or light primer strike.

If you slow it to quarter speed, you see the rocket fly over the RPG guy's head from another RPG guy behind him off camera.

Whatever it was, had a HUGE fire and secondaries going off.  Saw what looked like a missile or rocket burning off and flying in an arc before coming back down. My guess is that it was a major ammo dump, missile launch location, or weapons staging area.

I keep seeing this number of children killed in Gaza between two and four thousand, where are these terrorist sympathizers getting these numbers? I'm guessing hamas is putting out this number and these fools believe it.

Wouldn’t it be something if the Saudis go on the offensive to Yemen if the Houtis keep this up … they are itching for a conflict too.

Sounds like Hamas hss the $$$ to solve the humanitarian crisis.

Hamas has built a global operation to funnel funds to support its activities – using shell companies, physically moving cash, transferring via cryptocurrencies, syphoning support from charities, and receiving infusions from friendly nations such as Iran, which supports several militant groups in countries that border Israel.

Turkey, one of the countries where Hamas has investments through firms like Trend GYO, is coming under fire for failing to take a stronger stance toward Hamas. Unlike the US, UK and EU, Turkey does not consider Hamas a terrorist organisation.

Ankara has even granted citizenship to people linked to Hamas, including individuals later sanctioned by the US. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was also reportedly in Turkey when the group’s gunmen attacked Israel earlier this month.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s president, last week called Hamas “a liberation group, ‘mujahideen’ waging a battle to protect its lands and people,” using an Arabic word to refer to those who fight for their faith.

Wally Adeyemo, the US deputy treasury secretary, said his government’s sanctions were aimed at “dismantling Hamas’s funding networks… to deny Hamas the ability to exploit the international financial system.

The most recent sanctions named Trend GYO’s three top shareholders: Alaeddin Şengüler, board chairman; board member Gülşah Yiğidoğlu; and Arwa Mangoush.

Other alleged Hamas front companies based in Sudan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have also previously been slapped with US sanctions for boosting the wealth of Hamas leaders and funding the group’s activities.

So now we know why our govt has been donating all this money to Iran
