Maybe a PSA Dagger or Rock 57 w/rds and some ammo?

Just bought/shot both and am seriously impressed! The Dagger needed some oil out of the box but both are great shooters!

Just got back from LGS.

They had a good representation of Ruger and S&W revolvers (I've always preferred revolvers and I'm reverting back to my roots)

One that caught my eye was a 4" 610.

I'm a big fan of the 10mm but hate that my 1006 throws my precious brass across state lines.

I looked it over pretty good and this one was put together pretty well; everything was straight and tight.

Crane to frame fit was absolutely flawless.

Trigger wasn't as nice as my well used  30+ year old 629 but it was still pretty nice.

Tag said $1089 or I might've brought it home today.

Im reddot curious on a pistol. But I could also pick up a old school smith wheel gun and probably be happy

Always kind wanted a USP again

Whatever I buy itll be carried. I feel the USP is falling on the bigger side with that in mind

I think you made a good choice. I had a Smith 66 with a 6 inch barrel back in the 80’s and it was the most accurate pistol I ever owned. Sadly in a foolish moment I sold the revolver. Dammit!

Do you reload?

Any interest in lever action like X model Henry 44mag. 45-70 or Marlin SBL?

Do you have a 300 Win Mag Sako or Tikka?

Do you have a .375 H&H  8=====>

This right here. 9mm with a RMR (or RMRcc) and you are good to go.

OP there are a lot of choices out there, try seeing if there is a range that will let you rent the latest and greatest.

Every make has their cults, Glock, Sig, Hk, S&W, CZ, Colt, etc.

The only acceptable cult to be a part of is the MRDS on a handgun cult. Semi, revolvers, doesn't matter.

Grab a safariland cd-2 speed loader holder as well to place a speed loader directly in front of the holster.

You just sound like a Sig denier who hasn't accepted Sig as your Lord and Savior.

OP seemed to elude to the fact that he may not have something in the P365 size class. He did however seem to have other antiques. Hence why I suggested the P365 over the antique firearm. However, OP chose poorly and went with the antique.

OP - I know very little about Sig P320's but I do know something about Sig P226's and P220's and they are very fine handguns.
A Sig because of it's higher bore axis is never going to have as fast of a followup shot as a Glock. But Sig's, 1911's, and High Power's feel glorious
in the hand.
The experience is a bit like this
It's like having a very expensive scotch....something you just want to sip and savor.
Glocks are like Stolichnaya Vodka: all business...you just shoot it down in one gulp and get it over with.

A Sig, 1911, or a Browning High Power is like finely smithed Colt Single Action Army or a Colt Python
Are they as cheap as a Glock? Nope.
Do they have as many aftermarket parts as a Glock? (Nope: except the 1911: the aftermarket is huge. But 1911's are dying out in terms of popularity as the old farts shuffle off this mortal plain. For younger generations: it's about Glocks)

All I can say is this. This whole topic will never be settled. Buy the biggest gun safe you can because you will definitely fill it.
And you will have Glock Days where you will be shooting a Glock. All business. And then you will have days where you will want something finer in your hand and you will pull out a very expensive and smithed High Power or 1911. Or you might pull out a P226.

One thing for sure. Train 90% of your time on only ONE handgun. Build your muscle memory and know that handgun inside out.
It might be a Glock, it might be a Sig, it might be a Single Action Revolver.
Know it inside out, upsidedown, backwards and forwards. Be able to shoot it really well under all conditions in either hand.
Be able to move with it from cover to cover, reload and clear jams on the fly.
Be able to point shoot it as naturally as raising your hand and pointing at something with your index finger.
To do this you (unless you are Elon Musk) you will get into reloading, because you will have to shoot tons and tons of ammunition.
Shooting like playing an musical instrument, is a skill that degrades if you don't practice. And you can't get good until you spend a lot of time on fundamentals and practicing over and over again.

I will warm up at a range with a 22LR version of the handgun that I practice on.
Then I switch over to my main handgun.
I always start out slow and then I work my way up.
Strong Hand...then weak hand...both hands...single hand...different stances: Isoceles and Weaver. (Weaver isn't as effective as Isoceles)

Find something that you like and that you can shoot well.
A good way to do this is to go to a handgun range and rent different handguns in different calibers.
Somewhere along the way you will find something that fits your hand really well, and that you can shoot really well, and that has good ergonomics.

Definitely buy a giant safe...you will eventually fill it to the brim over time.
