This morning I did a little research on the name of my Savior. Jesus' name in the Hebrew language is Yeshua, pronounced approximately as "yeh-SHOO-ah" (with the stress on the second syllable). I like the sound of His name It is a shortened form of the longer Hebrew name Yehoshua, pronounced "yeh-ho-SHOO-ah," which is the same as the English name "Joshua." Come to find out, His name means "to save," "to deliver," or "to rescue." Thus, Yeshua means "salvation," "the Lord saves," or "the Lord is salvation." I called on the name of the Lord and He came to my rescue. Jesus saves. ~ my testimony, the Holy Spirit is my witness Now, the church is commissioned by the Lord to baptize and make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. How do we even know this? We have the Scriptures, the Word of God. I thank God for the church, community, so much love! I've learned much from the Church its people, though I haven't arrived yet. The body of Christ, without it where would we be? I love the church for life. Jesus, He is the Life. The church: called out ones, the assembly. Read: there are no denominational lines or an exclusive brand of religion that God favors. He loves YOU and He has demonstrated that by sending us His own Son, Yehoshua. Jesus saved me, not the Church. Now, does prayer move the hand of God, this, is very likely in my case. However, ultimately it was Jesus who came to my rescue. <<< He raised me with Him on the 3rd day. I do not forget that day. Look to Jesus, He is the savior of the body. Joel 2:32 ' ...And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ...' Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ There is One Savior. You and Raiders get it, I did not get involved in other threads with the people that think christianity is what church they joined and what they do when in church. Lets increase each others Faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Bible from the beginning is about Faith vs Self works. After Adam sinned, he tried to cover his sin with fig leaves, which is what man in sin does. Self works. God put the Sacrifcial system in place when God slew and animal and covered Adam and Eve with animal skins. Something has to pay in blood for your sin. That pointed to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Because animal blood could only cover your sin, not take it away. And God needs to provide the Sacrifice. Yeshua, as you said, is a shortened version of Yehoshua (Joshua), but it does not precisely mean "God saves", it more correctly means "YHWH saves". Minor difference, but important, nonetheless. While on the topic of Hebrew names, the author of the epistle James' name was actually Jacob (Yaakov, identical to the name of the patriarch). James was not a Hebrew name, so wherever you see "James" in the New Testament, it should read (in English) as Jacob. |

God does not look at your sin, God knows your in sin, God looks upon the offering that is made for it. And God accepted Abels offering. Because it represents the Blood that Jesus will shed on the Cross. While Cain pulled something out of his garden that Cain grew, representing self works, God will not accept what man want's to do. It does not matter what Cain did, anything other then the shed Blood of the Lamb will not be accepted by God. Even God told Cain, look at your brother, If you do what's right, will you not be accepted? Cain still would not repent, and trust in the Blood of the Lamb, instead Cain killed his brother. |

It testifies to the completed atonement (mercy seat) and the superior promises of the new covenant. This "speaking" is ongoing in the sense that believers have come to this reality through faith. The blood of Jesus continues to declare better things from heaven. The blood represents life. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood"... . and its shedding calls for a divine response, whether judgment or grace. see (Leviticus 17:11) The old animal sacrifices were shadows, Jesus' once-for-all sacrifice fulfills and surpasses them. see (Hebrews 9–10). The Tresspass Offering was provided to Atone for trespass against God, and trespass agianst man. Touching an unclean thing, dead animal carcass or anything that God declared unclean, whether the person knew he did it or not, he needed to offer a Sacrifice. Verses 2-5 Unclean is anything that God has said means sin. Could even be wicked thoughts. If you were not able to bring a heifer or lamb because you could not afford it, then you could bring fine flour. This offering shows how Jesus lives to make intercession for us with the Father, Because we continuosly sin and may not even know it. |
