This is what I know to be the standard for every new install I have helped with over the past 3 decades.  It's what my house has.  It's what my last house had.

Great info in here, thank you all.  Just heard from the plumber and he used PEX-A.

Never mind the connection. I have never seen PEX tubes that didn't have 160psi stamped on them. This is the reason I didn't use it with my well, the pressure outdoors, between the well reservoir and the house pressure regulator, spikes well above that rating.
