I just received my D-Day US paratrooper impression but I don't have a WW2 rifle/mags yet. I do have a 1911 and holster. Unfortunately the boots I ordered in the wrong size and will have to be exchanged. I won't have a lot of the personal gear yet like razors, books, maps, cigarettes, first aid kits, K-Rations, etc... to fill the musette bag.

So my M42 style jump suit will look like the style on Band of Brothers in episode 2 & 3.

I'd love to get a Willys Jeep

Choice! What's your pistol & holster? Each one is important, all have a story to tell. There are hella repro's being made for the booming reinactor hobby.

Years ago on WWII WalMart you could buy NOS USMC, USGI buckle & Jump boots in our sizes (most of our items aren't photographed), many personal effects still out there.

Battery day with Towed 37mm, the triggerman is the only one who feels reduced recoil due to armor plate deflecting much of the concussion.

M3 and M3A1 seen here, the smallest line of sight caliber "widely" built.

M3A1 has threaded barrel for a muzzle brake and it is cool.

12 right-hand twist grooves, single turn in 25 calibers.

Effective range about 10-12,000 yards, we shoot generally at 1000-2000.

Another pal, his Army Car with correct Prestone 42 coolant on the front.

This fellow has a Time Capsule Car in the exact configuration it was in 1944, very rare.

Hercules JX-D flathead 6 produces some 108 hp with 8x2 trans and the first power brakes on a production War vehicle. Eye contacted White Truck Co. to speak with senior archivist on records... it was a dead end, fell on deaf ears. Like Union Switch & Signal, the company ownership has changed hands into ownership of the Double Tongues.

Scour Cars weigh 11,500 pounds empty, carry up to 8 men, have Interphone system like tanks/half tracks for comms during noisy combat. Some were equipped as radio Cars, others as pure Gun Ships which is how ours is set up.

Base on an unpublished photo of Scout Car equipment group laid out on a huge tarp for inspection circa 1942 which eye am forbidden to share (the price of having the image to enlarge and frame),
a Scout Car generally carried (on that day for that photo)

Ten 100rd first pattern .50 ammo cans
Thirty-Six 250rd .30 ammo boxes
Minimum 2 belt feds in 2 calibers
Engine start crank
Radio
Assorted tools
70 other items

Ours Car is equipped for 3 belt feds, 2 Thompson's and USMC Flamethrower. The Thompson's are stored: 1 behind the driver in the vertical clip, the other on this whorizontal Thompson Box left in Army green paint just like we traded them bums for it.

Due to the 2 hangers on a Thompson box, it is designed only for a 1921 Colt or 1928/1928A1: in order to rest vertically on the two hooks, the charging handle must be on the top of the SMG as only 2 Thompson models are. An M1 or M1A1 has its charging handle on the right side which rubs against the metal case and causes the SMG to rest at an angle.

This relatively rare 1921/1928 Thompson box has 7 bays of three 20 round magazines per bay. Numerous mint WWII production mag's from six companies were found stored in Russian basalt mines, we obtained 40 or so for display. 30 rounder's weren't issued until late War.

_______________________________________________________________

Yale Ordnance padlocks marked AMMUNITION are required for the wheel well storage compartments. We gathered these from across the country, some with original keys marked AMMUNITION and were not surprised to find They Were Keyed Alike! When you need ammo, you cant be running around for different keys.

Triggerman's view though M6 scope on most 37mm towed, this one mounted on Bethlehem Steel M3 IIRC

72nd Colt M1928 tripod made. Curiously, this tripod will only mount a water-cooled MG, the M1919A4 will not line up, 1917A1 and M2 pods work for that

The familiar vertical saw on Jeep bumpers was designed to prevent decapitation of our troops.

The only NOS Jeep tire pump any of us have ever seen, thanks Hayes

Not really sure what this is. The suspension and gun appear to be Italian, the paint job suggest Japanese, and the cupola on turret looks French.
