| https://www.meetup.com/home/ is pretty good for finding meetups and workshops. Facebook groups can help as well. Whereabouts are you? Larger cities are generally going to have more options. |

Houston is a plenty large town, once you start networking you will find tons of models to work with and photographers whose ideas you can steal! The one thing I don't like about meetup, is if you search for photography events and it doesn't have many, it immediately starts suggesting completely unrelated events. |

| Was on a Meetup photography club once. The arrogance of some of the members was pathetic at get togethers. Went on one where we met up mear Madison to go to a state park an hour and a half west. They all wanted to carpool. I couldnt. I had to be abe to get home on a phone call if mom needed me for something if dad went to the hospital. He was having major health issues then. The guy who created the meet up got himself in a huff that I was going to drive myself instead of riding with someone. Then there are the gear snobs. The the ones who think they are Ansel Adams reincarnate. |
