needs Cross country Air suspension like 120mm HT or FS 1x10 plus Drive train shimano or sram thru axles tubeless ready budget us 1000 thinking polygon xtrada7. any other suggestions? |

Why not a Specialized Rockhopper or similar Trek? You'd get a local bike shop for support and 1x12 gearing, better fork (I think). |

| When I was shopping, almost two years ago, I was looking at cross-country and trail hardtails. The hardtails were generally spec'd with much better components and that was important to me. I went with a trail bike (Trek Roscoe) but I have it set up more like an XC bike, longer stem, rigid seat post, XC tires. Still has trail geometry, but I like that stability in a bicycle. |
