But paying a bribe is the crime, and they will look the other way, if you support the right political group, support the wrong political group and you will be charged. All the while, the POS that took the bribe is free to keep taking bribes. Isn't that just peachy.... I mean they are going all out for clown world 2020. It's a disgrace. |

I just remember right when this started the prosecutor was on tv and was asked about the people that took the bribes and he said "taking a bribe isn't a crime, paying one is, and that he wasn't bringing charges against them, and to his knowledge they still had there jobs at the university". To me that was a WTF moment. Made me mad and disgusted and haven't been willing to look at any news about it since. Like how I feel about the way Portland is handling the riots... It's like it's all clown world. I hope you are right and that they did a 180 and went after those taking bribes, but with everything I am seeing I find it a little hard to by. It like they want to show people the rule of law is gone and it's all about power and control. |

Both my kids got into good schools on their own merit and we pay a hefty tuition for the privilege. However, I am still not sure EXACTLY what laws they broke. As far as I can tell they are guilty of being Rich while White. As someone else posted, these schools pick and choose admissions on many factors beyond individual achievement (skin color, sex, national origin)
