Earth is poised to experience a series of blows that originated from the Sun. The geomagnetic disturbances are the result of dual solar events.

A vast coronal hole in the Sun's atmosphere has been identified, unleashing a high-speed stream of solar wind aimed directly at our planet. This phenomenon, captured by Nasa's Solar Dynamics Observatory, reveals a gaping dark expanse across the Sun's surface, nearly 800,000 kilometers in length.

Coronal holes are regions where the Sun's magnetic field opens up into space, allowing the solar wind to escape more freely. These areas appear darker in images because they are cooler and less dense than their surroundings. The upcoming solar wind is expected to reach Earth on December 4, potentially causing disruptions to our magnetic field.

Adding to the cosmic drama, an off-target Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is projected to deliver a glancing blow to our planet on December 5. CMEs are massive bursts of solar plasma and magnetic fields rising above the solar corona or being released into space. While this particular CME is not headed directly for Earth, its peripheral effects could still amplify the impact of the incoming solar wind.

The convergence of these two solar phenomena is predicted to induce G1 (Minor) to G2-class (Moderate) geomagnetic storms, spaceweather.com reported. Such storms can lead to beautiful auroral displays, commonly known as the Northern Lights, which may be visible at mid-latitudes—regions that don't typically get to witness this natural light show.

The Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) closely monitors such events due to their potential to affect satellite communications, GPS systems, and power grids.

NOAA classifies geomagnetic storms on a scale from G1 to G5, with G1 being the least intense and G5 being extreme. The anticipated G1 to G2 storm levels suggest possible minor disruptions to satellite operations and power systems, but also increased chances of seeing the aurora borealis further away from the poles.

Bit Error Events will go up. It’s where a bit gets changed in a processor. Crash.

So if something crashes you can legitimately blame solar flares.

I had a root cause analysis done by sr engineers on a crash file. After pouring over it for a long time they said bit error in the proc. Solar flare. Hardware is fine.

I kid you not. It does happen. Same reason for all the shielding in satellites, etc as they are hammered by radiation.

Oh no, our carbon emissions are causing changes in the Sun.  We need to cut carbon emissions to save the Sun.  Human caised Climate change is affecting the entire Solar system!  It could even affect Alpha Centuri and Vulcan if we're not careful.

Trump's fault.

We need to raise taxes and ban guns to protect the Earth against the sun.
