Quoted: Where are you getting this? Is anyone saying v-fib? He could have had a sudden arrhythmia, but he could also have just drowned, went PEA and died. It’s really hard, if not impossible, to determine if he drowned then had a cardiac event or vice-versa. View Quote If they do an autopsy they will find out if he drowned and if he was on drugs or booze when it happened. If he slipped I assume he would have an injury showing this as well. I would say previous drug use played a big factor but "other things" might have helped it along. |

Longtime drug addict/raging alcoholic drowns in bathtub/hot tub isn’t exactly a shocking tale. Bummer for the guy. Imagine having so much wealth and still such an inability to have a happy and healthy life.
C’est la vie. |

Read a blurb earlier he had spent almost $10 million on alcohol addiction rehab.

A few times in my past while drinking in a hot tub or getting into a hot tub while already drunk, I felt way more wasted than I would have had I not been in the hot water. |

As far as I can tell, I've never watched a full episode of Friends, only snippets here and there. Other than the eye candy, I never understood the appeal. Lame jokes and the three guys all overacted.
RIP. |

Quoted: My sister and her friends are really crushed by this. Most of us probably think it's a little sad and that the guy was pretty funny, but there's a whole generation out there -- particularly of women -- who grew up with "Friends" and are almost inconsolable at the moment. I know that sounds dramatic, but it's the truth. View Quote Yep. All the nurses in the ER tonight were bummed out after hearing about it. While I've seen snippets, I've never seen a full episode of Friends. |

Did Rodney King die in his pool?
That standing water is dangerous....... |

Quoted: It's fascinating to me that whenever a conservative or someone on our side passes, we quickly condemn anyone politicizing the death. Every post is bringing up twitter comments saying "Already politicizing the death before the body is cold! Liberals have no respect!" Then you see a thread like this where half the posts are politicizing it talking about a covid vaccine shot or making jokes about not being a good "schwimmer." I don't give a shit what people say after a death, just wish for once we're not doing the exact same things that we accuse others of doing. I wasn't here when Rush Limbaugh died but were half the posts mentioning his long history of drug use too? (like Rush's well known pain pill addiction similar to Mathew Perry) Or was that all of a sudden off limits and bad decorum talking about his drug past in that thread? View Quote Now pay attention, most of those doing that here are also the Orange cultist Maga bots. |

Quoted: People drown in hot tubs or pools or lakes, etc. Alcohol causes most of it. It doesn't need to be a heart attack, clot shot. Sheesh. View Quote +1 Game wardens will tell you that when some fishermen drown, they will find their pants down. They are drunk, standing in a boat trying to pee, then fall into the water and drown! The other possibility is a cardiac arrhythmia. That would be my guess if he has no drugs or alcohol in his system. |

This could have been a simple vaso-vagal syncope episode. Slips under and drowns. In fact, that would be the most likely thing to happen, with or without alcohol and/or drugs. |

Never saw him perform.
Friends came out in 1994 and by then I had already stopped watching TV and movies. |

Autopsy revealed he didn’t drown from pool water. It was gallons of Schwimmer’s swimmers.

I watched Friends. Me and this girl I was dating at the time made it our Thursday evening ritual to watch Friends & Seinfeld together
I always thought Perry/Chandler was the funniest character on the show I guess he just couldn't get past his demons, and they finally got him Rip funny man |

Friends was a good show but Seinfeld was an epic series. I had no idea that Perry had such problems.
If stories are correct, the six worked together to have identical contracts. |

Matthew Perry's body is taken out of his LA home after he 'drowned' in hot tub, as chilling 911 audio is revealed and police source claims cops found prescription pills but no illegal drugs
Matthew Perry's remains were seen leaving his LA home after he was found dead in his hot tub following a suspected drowning. The late Friends star, 54, was stretchered into a coroner's van from the front door of his home late Saturday night. Staff from the LA County Medical Examiner's Office loaded Perry's body into the van before closing its doors and driving off. Perry is believed to have drowned hours after a game of pickleball, although an official cause of death has not been released and an autopsy is pending. A law enforcement mole told TMZ that investigators had discovered prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills at Perry's luxurious home, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean - but that no illegal drugs were found inside. That absolutely sucks.
#1 this has probably been said. "His assistant" is it a code wore? #2 That dude at one point made $1 mil per episode. I figured his house would be a little bigger? |
