I've had mesh for 5 or 6 years now as part of a inguinal repair. No issues, felt a little weird right after but it's not noticeable now.

They are only doing the mesh now because the chance of it coming back is like 2%. Laparoscopic is the way to go. 2 pieces of advice 2 big bags of frozen peas and some murolax. Ibuprofen should be enough. Mesh is fine.

I had mesh put in for an Inguinal hernia about 14 years ago. I don't know exactly how large it was but I recall the doctor commenting that it was a large hernia. That said, I have had no issues with the mesh. |

I had an inguinal hernia repaired with mesh in November 2023. I didn't follow the Dr's instructions and lifted things I shouldn't have too soon. Tore it and had to have it done again January of this year. Mesh again. So far...no problems.
