A good friend of mine that has pretty much moved to Argentina was visiting recently and said that there certainly appears to be a lot of support with the folks he interacts with for displacing the Brits, many of them were not even around for 1.0. They may not have the military infrastructure yet to make a move but there appears to be the will motivate a build up regardless of their economy. IF that above text is an official Israeli position then I wouldn't be surprised to see some technical support come Argentina's way. |

Argentina has never exercised or held sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. The Brits discovered them, occupied them, left them, came back to them. Argentina's claim based on the de-colonization by Spain wasn't substantive as Spain abandoned the islands as well. But why let actual historical facts have any relevance? We can all rewrite history to suit our contemporary desires, right? Putin says so, so it must be right. |

Whatever we might say of their navy, they do have an aircraft carrier currently on deployment in the North Atlantic, and a second that is currently in port for refit due to sail out later this fall. I'd still bet on Britain. |
