There is a plane spotters group on FB I follow and they have been posting pictures of all kinds of oddly painted A-10s and other military aircraft lately. Mainly in and out of the Joint Training Base in Ft. Worth.

The Chuck Norris stuff is on the inside of the ladder door. Artwork is a common thing on them.

The refuel point is infront of the left main landing gear.

After I found that pic of a Zuni on an F8 Crusader, I had this video pop up on Youtube. I probably have a picture somewhere of F8s on a French carrier in Toulon during a port visit, but I mainly remember A7s doing CAS for us back in the 80s. I think the A7 was a derivative of the F8.

History is pretty cool - competition with the F4, lots of guns, very fast (John Glenn flew one supersonic across the country) and was a big Mig killer in Vietnam. Also accident prone.
