Washing dishes is stressful? Paying bills? Well yeah I suppose if you’re broke but do they think older people were all loaded or something? Have they ever heard of the Great Depression? I know I’m old but a lot of young people are tarded they’ve proved the opposite with that list and don’t even realise it. And when you throw in the fact our planet will die in 12 years if we don't get this new green deal in place now... Last week a bubble head told me the most important thing was preserving nature for future generations. I asked her: Let's say you lived in your small 1400 sq ft house on 1/4 acre, with a bucolic stream in the back, and your house + property was all of America...and across the street your neighbor was China, and the only thing they were focused on was to wipe you and your house off the face of the universe, what would be the most important thing to you? His response: Oh no, the government would never let that happen. Me: Well, YOU are the government. Do you live in idyllic bliss, preserving your stream, your lawn, your house, or do you take effective counter measures to deter that threat? Idiot asked me if the Chinese would really do that. I told him Mexico is doing exactly that, by delivery of 40 million small cuts, and that Russia, Venezuela, China, Iran, North Korea and even some of our "allies" all have plans to fuck us over - just like we do to them. |
| Parents of millenials wanted to see to it that their children had it easier than they did. They raised a generation of entitled adult children. No wonder many of them are all for UBI, taxpayer funded health care, and all the other things that absolves them of personal responsibility. |

Well duh! I mean, sure some previous generations had to worry about getting drafted, standing in line at the soup kitchen, or rolling onto a beach under artilery and machine gun fire. But all that pales against having to wait in line 5 whole minutes just to order a Grande medium caff soy latte with a dusting of cinnamon. |

So many Early-Cohort Boomers really fucked up with their millennial kids. These kids are the children of the 60's hippie generation. The Vietnam War protesters. The Jane Fonda types.
As a Late-Cohort Boomer I am proud to say my generation has no claim on those fuckers.

I'm starting to wonder what they consider a millennial at this point. Aren't the youngest now 25/26? I'm 36 and technically a millennial... I honestly think, even with the legitimate stresses of running a business my life is so easy it's boring. It's not like I have to get up and find what killed livestock overnight, then hunt it down with a stick and some rocks before I starve to death, while actually dying from typhus because antibiotics are only 5k years away. That's stress. I mean, those are answer I'd expect from a 19yo. |
| I can relate to the Check Engine Light. I've got a vehicle with an EGR code that I've replaced just about everything EGR related and the code still won't go out. Just went past inspection and now I have a vehicle that can't be driven legally on the roads. It runs fine, just the stupid light. I've been looking through the tech service bulletins and one shows all the drive conditions for the OBD2 I/M readiness tests. Holy shit, some are next to impossible to complete. Like the EVAP one. I have to immediately drive to 45-55, no turns (can't trip the power steering switch), tank between 40 and 60% full, can't slosh the gas in the tank (has to be driven straight) for 16 minutes. There isn't a road that I can drive on straight in vermont for 16 minutes without sloshing the gas in the tank. Mfgs I don't think ever intended the I/M tests to be used for legal compliance to drive on the roads. |

I was talking to a colleague at work about this yesterday.
We have two work sites, and frequently need to ship materials back and forth. The shipping process is a pain, in that there is an online form that is sort of a PITA to fill out, but it's not that bad. Fill out the form, put your samples in a box with dry ice and walk it down to shipping (2-3 minutes) away. The whole process takes maybe ten minutes. Like I said, its a slight pain, and I hate it, but we also get paid good money, and it's more or less part of the job. I've been trying to get some of the millennial at the other site to ship me stuff the past three days and the amount of bitching and moaning I've been getting in response is incredible. "Can you just send me a list of everything you'll need in the future"--ummm. No. If I knew I that i wouldn't be asking you. "I can't find a box to send the stuff in"-shipping and receiving has a ton of boxes to use, as does the cell culture lab thats right down the hall.. These are folks who are making anywhere from 60k to 100k..trying their best to get out of doing something that takes ten minutes. It sort of leaves me kind of speechless. |

Just watched Alpha with my GSD. I am thinking getting dinner with a spear, starting a friction fire to cook what ever you killed, and not getting eaten by something while you are enjoy your dinner might be a bit more stressful then having to call Ubereats for dinner. And my GSD thought it was too stressful to lay down during the movie:
