Any ideas why the drill stops working if you pull the trigger past 50%?
Also, the LED stays on unless you remove the battery. Just happened to me while I was using it. Tried different batteries. Changed speeds and drill modes. Nothing changes it. Tapping on it doesn't affect it either. I haven't taken it apart yet. I'm hoping a cleaning of the trigger will fix it but maybe it's a common problem. It's about 1 month out of the 5 year warranty. Figures lol UPDATE So my drill was within 1 month of the 5 year warranty. Got it shipped off for repair. They just delivered a box today. Opened it up and it's a brand new drill!

| I had a similar problem. I used their website, followed the instructions and sent it in to be serviced. It came back two weeks later, worked for about 3 weeks and the problem came back. The second time they just gave me a new one. Other then time, it didn't cost me anything as it was still under warranty. |
| The triggers are the weak link for the m18 fuel stuff. I don't give 1 shit about warranty because when I need a tool I need it right now. I have had 6 m18 tools go down with bad triggers, 2 being sawzalls. They don't have a repair facility close to me so I just buy a new one when they go down. If I wasn't so invested in the batteries I would jump to Hilti |

I am glad it worked out for you.
I had a Milwaukee cordless drill/driver that bought over the DeWalt specifically because Milwaukee offered a longer warranty. A month or two before the warranty expired the shaft broke or something - the motor still spun, but the chuck did not. I sent it off for warranty service and they declined, claiming the motor was burned up. It was not. I've not spent another cent with Milwaukee since and won't ever again. |
| I just popped on the Milwaukee 1/2 inch high torque impact. Tired of fucking with the air lines and such, plus that thing has more oompf than the air gun anyway. Bare tool and a gift card got me there under 200 bones....hopefully it's a wise investment. Everyone seems happy with it. |
