This year is going to be one similar to 2022 in that I'm already starting my pushups.  I'm 100 in since midnight.

I've been chomping at the bit for about a week knowing that this journey would begin soon, and here it is!

The first month of doing this will consist of 4x 250 rep days each week until 4000 and then 1500/wk (300/day x5 days) until 10,000 is reached.

I will continue doing strength training in the gym in the way of weighted belt pullups, dips, some bench press, tricep press downs, and kettlebell exercises, lunges, etc.

At the beginning of 2022, I was 184lbs and currently I'm 180.  That is on purpose, and I want to see what I can get my BF % down to this year.  It has been a while since I checked it at the gym, and I believe it was around 15%.  I figure the next time I'm in, I will find out what it is and report and test again in a few months.

Join and tell us your progress.

Inspire and encourage others.

Let's get after it.

Thanks for the motivation last year.

I got in for 36k which sounded crazy at the time but was only a hundred a day from when I got in but made me stick to it or risk getting behind.

When I started I could do maybe 25 a set.  Now a set of 100 is no biggie & did 200-300 a day during dec to make sure I made up for the few missed days .

Changed my health for sure. Dropped a little weight & built enough muscle that holiday pig out didn't add a pound.

I'm in again & adding 15k jack knifes.

Eta...   dont make excuses...just do it. My morning 100 + 50 jackknife takes like 3 minutes & wakes me up more than coffee... if you need to change just decide you're going to.

nicely done

getting behind sucks when your training says 600/day x 5 days or 800-700-600-500-400.  That began to really tell me my limits because by the end of the week, I had to stop to recover.

Starting last night with 250 and I'm already thinking I need to jump to 300/day because I want to hit that 70k mark as quickly as I can this year.  It'll free me up for strength training this fall and we'll see if I can get my bench press to +100 over my bodyweight.  I'll have to add roughly 35lbs this year to my bench to hit that mark.

fantastic!

I'm working on my 2nd set of 250 right now.  100 down.  150 to go.

My wife looked at me and said "I haven't seen you do any pushups today."  She realized I did my first sets before I went to bed last night

I think after hitting 1000 this week, I'm going to jump to the 1500/wk level through 10,000.

Ugh. I might try to see if I can keep up. I've always wanted to be better at pushups. I can only rep about 15 before having to stop.

Since seeing this thread earlier today, I've been doing 10 every hour and currently have logged 40 pushups. Figure I'll double that before the end of the day.

Will try this tomorrow and the remainder of the week.
