My thread in this subforum, "I'm a pear-shaped 47 year old who is 6'2", single, and never lifted because of information overload" has fallen into the archives. I did keto, and lost weight. I figured, "F it, I can do pushups", so I'm doing those. Someone in that thread recommended the book "Bigger, Leaner, Stronger". Reading that, and realizing the book is helping me to mentally work out so I stick with it. Now, to my pushups. I am now only doing sets of 25 to get to 300ish/day. Yeah, I can bust out more, but then I hurt too much to do more throughout the day. My triceps are NOTICEABLY bigger. Too bad it took this long of doing pushups to realize pushups don't work your biceps. So, now at work when I do my pushups, I do 10 curls/arm with the 20 lb dumbbells that are used for doorstops. |
