Quick work by a water truck. Water truck arrives at (4:15)
Mystery water truck helps SFFD extinguish box van fire |

Not much left but pretty damn efficient

I bet they were pissed, that dude deprived them of their fun. Around here, they get so few fires, they get all excited when they finally have one, a real one. What a cockblock.
That was pretty darn cool though, good on him... or her, a squirter. |

That water truck is illegal as hell.
No dot number, no IFTA or state fuel sticker, no company name…. |

We need some mystery water trucks to roll by the Hamas supporters at colleges.

That worked out well... Someone should come up with like a team of guys that run around in a truck full of water and fight fires.
"Three men and a water truck" or something... |

Water truck ate FDs lunch...
That box truck was totaled anyway, but I guess water truck saved the derelict RV. |

Nice, steady, horizontal video.
I chuckled. Those firefighters were desperate to do something. Water truck was awesome. Extinguish and back on its way. |

If he gets stopped nearby and was just trying to get back to his yard and cited for all that, that cop would be known as a dick! |

In MD trucks like that must be permanently marked sewage, pool water, potable water, or non potable water IIRC. It's a hefty fine for being unmarked.

Seemed to work better, or at least a lot faster, than the much more expensive fire truck. I suppose only for a narrow range of circumstances though.

The timing of the water truck arrival was in line with the fire truck. Makes me think that they were coordinated to bring supplemental water than what the fire truck carries and can use before connecting to the hyrdrant.
Also, red car at the end just drives right over the hoses and rolls back and forth with no idea where they should go. |

No one mentioned that the burning box truck was set to ignite a bunch of what look like mobile homeless shanties lining that block before it was extinguished.
If I'm a business owner I'm running out and telling water truck dude to just move along and he didn't see nothin'... |

Leave it to the private sector to do things faster, cheaper, and more efficiently.

Our FD would have complained that what he did was unsafe, put them in danger, and stole their union protected work!!!!
Then the mayor would have plastered them all the in news and internet, thrown them a fucking parade, and given them a proclamation letting everyone know what hero's they are! |

Looks like one of those trucks they use to water the side of the highway and wet down road beds under construction.
Yeah, if I was gonna do it, I wouldn't hang around. Just put it out and leave. Bureaucrats hate it when the world figures out they aren't needed. |

Waiting for the guy to be arrested for illegal run off.

We are blessed to live in a time when a rare event like that can get documented by a random bystander who happens to have a good phone and knows how to shoot decent horizontal video.
I LOL'd. Kudos to Water Truck Guy. ETA or Water Truck Gal. |
