We have a few speckled Sussex as well.

These six will put our flock at 33 I think. We just picked up a dozen Easter where a couple of weeks ago which we always like.

My favorites right now are the Cochins we have. These were our fist Cochins. Very calm and very big. They crack me up running because they make me think of little dinosaurs. These may be my new favorites.

Nothing. They are just ugly and freak people out. That’s reason enough. But reportedly they are good layers and do well.

We also have had and will likely get some more Lamancha goats this next spring. They also freak people out as they don’t have ears to speak of.

It’s always good to keep a few animals around that weird people out just for amusement.

My wife wants to know why you put a dildo with a party hat on your chickens.

We have one Cochin in our flock, a rescue from a neighbor.
Seems to think it's a puppy.

I’ve got a couple in my flock. Youngest daughter likes them. And yes they are Fugly, decent layers. I try and keep a few different breeds just cause I like variety to look at.

They only ship USPS. After several boxes of dead chick thanks to the post office, we gave up.

Ducks are so damn filthy and peafowl will sit on anything I.e. my cars.

I have considered Guinea fowl…but so loud.

Guineas may be loud but my flock keeps the bugs down an foxes at bay. The problem is keets at $4 an adults at $25+

Good luck!

Cool we just started our back yard flock with 2 golden sexlinks and 2 salmon favorellas. The salmons were supposed to be sexed and wouldn't you know it one turned out to be a cocky bastard. Wife hates him. I laugh at her inability to control a chicken.

Well all the chicks are doing good. Getting uglier by the day.
