Sort of like the SF guys on horse back did in Afghanistan. They had guns, but their main weapons were a radio and laser designator. In today’s day and age, I can’t imagine a beach invasion without massive bombardment first. Trying to get invaders on a beach to secure it would result in an extremely high casualty rate given todays mines and rockets and subs and…

If China wants to take Taiwan, there’s nothing the US military can do to stop it. Taiwan isn’t Ukraine. The PRC Navy could easily seal off the island and then what is the US going to do? Airlift supplies across the Pacific or run the blockade? Nope… we just have to make sure we convince the Chinese to not use force… not a strong point of the Biden Harris Era.
