I've been seeing a lot of them around my AO, looks better than the GM version, I know they copied some of the design elements too.

They are super nice. Very quiet on 80mph freeways.

im going withhhhh  75K with mandatory HUD prostrate massager and elbow scruff exfoliator.  transmission that constantly hunts between all 7 gears unless upgrade to PQRXL-TJ Sonora Elk-Badger trim Ecto-Boost .75 liter straight 2 cylinder.  Then you get the 53 gear trans with dual inline CVTs.  dealer incentive of 5K with non negotiable transport fee.

Both that and the GM fullsize SUV are very nice.

SHOCKINGLY expensive though. Crazy how ubiquitous they are around here.
Does everybody except me have $80k laying around for an SUV?

1. It's ugly
2. It's undoubtedly very refined and expensive
3. That's an SUV? Where's the ground clearance? Does it have some kind of auto lift? Cause I'd rip that front spoiler off the first time I drove it.

Looks nice, but it is a deceptively paltry upgrade over the explorer interior space-wise.

No frame, no solid axles.
I wish Ford didn't stop building the Excursion.

Mrs Flying Gorilla is remarking about how she likes the look of the new extended Expeditions.  Those are a full 18 inches longer than her 2011 and she covets the extra space.

But the $75,000+ sticker prices for a new Expedition Limited is keeping me away from the idea of trading her current one for a new one "Just because".

It is likely one of these will be our next purchase.  Hard to pass up the 4 month old service loaner LT Tahoes a nearby dealership is offering in the lowish 40s though.  There are one year old Limited Expeditions with 25-30k miles for the same price which have quite a bit more interior space and a more useable third row.

I make more $ than I ever have and cannot hardly believe I am considering a vehicle this expensive.

The Expedition and Navigator are selling like hot cakes around here.  No longer is it RR/Escalade/Denali, it's oddly..the Ford product.  They are everywhere.

And yes, they are damn good looking and highly luxurious compared to everything remotely in it's price range.

Looked at one at the dealer not long ago. It was really nice! And it did say $73,000 on the window sticker. That made me sad.

Are Ford and GM swapping designers? The Expedition looks a whole lot like a Yukon/Suburban and the Equinox looks a whole lot like the Explorer.

The Expedition has an aluminum body on a steel frame.

Precious few people need a rock crawler as a daily driver. No need for solid axels for a vehicle that is most likely never leaving the pavement on the way to yoga.

SO loves hers, 2019 XLT with all the upgrades.

We bought a demo with 2050 miles on it so wife didn't get the color she’d prefer but the blue has grown on her.

It is extremely nice on the highway.

I have a 2014 XLT F150 and her’s is much nicer.

I have no regerts other than the bath we took on the trade in, happy life for the happy wife won in the end.

When it comes to my family, I won’t buy something that more than likely (with my ford history) will leave us stranded. It’s only GM for us, the heartbeat of our family.

I like them, wanted my wife to drive one but the front wheel well is right beside the brake so she didn’t like it. Not sure if newer models changed but it was pretty intrusive.

I've been working on full size Fords a lot lately.  Ford does a great job engineering cars, and putting them together.  Their service manuals are excellent, and parts are sure easy to find and get.  Ford is presently the very best US car manufacturer, IMHO.

Its a new model so it’ll beat everything that’s currently in its class till the 2021 tahoe/suburban/Yukon/Escalade comes out and it’ll be them on top till the next Ford/Lincoln comes out

I’m content for now with my 2017 Escalade esv. Like the new navigator but will wait to see what the 2021 Escalade looks like before I upgrade

The 3.5L minus the sound track rocks. Having said that I’m a V8 guy, but I ain’t gonna hate on the boost. Except for on the raptor, that should have a V8 hands down.

I didn’t like the ride, third row, cargo space or the funny vibrations coming from the rear end.  She want to sell it already and go back to a Suburban.
