That is awful looking. Like a Desert Eagle had sex with a Hi-Point.

My limited experience with Hi point has been, if it works, it just keeps going. I would be interested in seeing a long term video. Not a torture test like 1000 rounds in an hour kind of thing but over the course of a few months or weeks. Hopefully the range will up load some vids later.

Compared to others, yes, it is awful looking, but for a Hi Point, not to bad looking.

I absolutely love the HiPoint carbine in 10x25mm.

I'll likely buy the first one I see in person after handling it a bit. Probably uses the same mags.

If someone made 30-round mags for the carbine, I would be sorely tempted.

It's direct blowback. That takes a good deal of mass - which takes quite the volume when you use lower density alloys to keep manufacturing and materials costs way down.

Well, their pistols are all direct blowback - they don't lock up like Browning designs.  They depend on the mass of the slide to hold them closed until the pressure is low enough that the breech can open without suffering a case rupture.

I bought the 10mm carbine when it came out in 17 or 18 and it ran great, even suppressed.

Better trigger and ergonomics than the glock.

Would be hilarious if it was thinner

Kinda wish they sold these as kits to get around dumbass melting point laws

Like you could transfer the polymer frame no problem, and just order the slide separately lmao.

Not when you're making blowback guns with zinc slides.

Isn't BB standard pressure ammo?  The most dangerous part is the price of the ammo.

Yup. This thing is not to be compared with other offerings. It is what it is. A cheap 10mm. I don’t think Hi Points are made for people who put thousands & thousands of rounds through their pistols every year.

This thing will help many folks get into the 10mm game cheap, and that is a good thing.

Hipoints in the hood are so ten years ago. Most I've seen in crime videos are running happy switch/happy sticked G19s.

Hell, someone posted a video of a graduating class in Chicago and five or so were CCing them at the ceremony.

Say what you will about Hi-Point firearms…they work. They’re affordable. They go bang when you need them to go bang. When it all comes down to it, what else really matters?

Hi-Point’s just announced a new addition to their lineup: the JXP10 10mm pistol. It has a threaded barrel, adjustable sights, a Pic rail, a +P rating, and it costs…$225.

The gun isn’t on the Hi-Point website yet — oh wait…yes it is — but here are the specs . . .

Barrel length: 5.2?
Weight: 49 oz.
Capacity: 10-round magazine
Overall length: 8.5?
Rear Sights: Fully-adjustable & Red Dot Ready
Frame: Standard 1913 accessory rail
Finish: Black powder coat
Front Sights: Compatible with Glock® front sights
MSRP: $225.00

Nobody on a hi point budget, that's for sure.

One of my first pistols was the basic 9mm hi point.  I already had the carbine to go with it.  They all always worked for me.  Had a horrible trigger pull/ feel but was accurate and never failed.  I put several hundred rounds through both the carbine and pistol.  I eventually sold/ traded them off (a long time ago) because I didn't use them much.

I kind of want to get another one now

10mm looks very interesting but I don't have much interest in adding another caliber to my line up.

The c9 is the only pistol I've ever had that would handle thousands of rounds without cleaning.

was pretty crazy reliable.
