I’m sure it’s been said, but I’m gonna predict a Glock USA made 5.56 mil-spec AR15.  Nothing exciting, but it’s another gun they can offer to LE agencies who already issue their pistols.  Will be sold to the public as well.

I work for one of the larger firearm distributors and I see what sells and what doesn't.  I can assure you that Glock does not sell like it used to.

They're making some really good strides with the 43/43x/48 and the Gen 5 guns in my opinion. If they do bring out the big bores in 10mm I would jump on a 20. But, they don't really innovate. As someone said earlier, they make Glocks and they're good at it.

I have longed for a Tactical kitchen since the first Magpul videos came out.  A Grockpot would be a requirement in my kitchen A.O.  I want to dynamically enter my kitchen space, Magpul FDE spatula in low ready...

I would engage the omelet square-on but keep my work space flexible and uncluttered.  It is always a challenge in the kitchen A.O. to remember to check my six.  Omelet fixation is real.

Stay hungry my friends.

I agree with you 100%.  I am a "Glock guy" and have been since 1992.  I have a 48 on me right now.  With that said, I do think they need to bring out something innovative, as they are indeed losing market share to their competition.

It’s been the same pistol since gen 1... it’ll just have a diffferent grip texture and new gen marking.  And probably alternate from last gen on finger grooves/no grooves on the grip.

I disagree that it had been the same gun. Until gen 4 I would agree. But the Gen 5 guns are a step beyond what Glock had been before. I have always carried one on duty, but enjoyed other stuff at the range. The Gen 5 changed that, now they are almost the only pistols that go to the range with me.

I don't get why?

My first handgun was a Gen 2 G21.  I currently own Gen 3, Gen 4, and a single Gen 5 G19.

The only thing I like about the Gen 5 that sticks out to me is the lack of finger grooves?  What makes Gen 5 rise so high in your opinion?  I'm just curious.

Honestly, I have not been a Glock guy ever. But I now have a 43, Gen 5 19 FS and a 45. I love the 43 for more "deep concealment" or more realistically, pocket carry. I would like a 43x for the larger grip, capacity and FCS for regular concealed carry. I love the feel of the Gen 5 19 and 45. Between the lack of finger grooves and the frame texture, they work for me. The grip angle is still not my favorite, but I can deal with it. I'm now looking forward to being issued a Glock 19 next year so I can turn in my HK. For shits and giggles I took out a couple of ancient Gen 3 17s out of inventory (agency transitioned away from them ~15 years ago) and shot one back to back with my 45. I can't believe how much better my 45 felt. The trigger pull, the grip texture, everything was better on my 45. So yeah, I honestly do believe they are making the best Glocks ever right now. But, the market is saturated and I don't have your insider knowledge. I honestly would not be surprised if they are losing market share. S&W is doing some nifty things. I love my 3.6" M&P 2.0 Compact. HK's VP9 is probably the single greatest feeling polymer pistol in the world. My hand just melts into it. It will be interesting to see what Glock is going to do in the near future, what they need to do is update the big bores. Also, someone suggested a single stack 10mm like the 48. That would be sweet.

Modular handgun systems are a commercial failure.  The Sig Xchange system was a failure. The only reason it came back around was because if the Army.  Only a few people buy and switch components, even on the 320.

The only positive was the idea of a serialized trigger group.

That may be Glocks next big thing.

Yeah. I bought a P320 back a few months before the Army selected it because I liked the ambi controls. Then when they selected it, I initially thought a modular pistol was a brilliant idea.

Then I came around to the conclussion that the only modularity that matters for a mass-issue sidearm is to be able to mount a flashlight, but it still made sense for civilians.

Now I think even for civilians, a modular pistol like that makes little sense. Various changes to a pistol don't dramatically change its characteristics like they do for an AR15.

OEM metal mags like the aftermarket G43X ones that hold 15 rounds would be pretty trick....that would actually be a pretty big deal.

G43X sized .40 or .45 would be cool too though much less likely.

.25 ACP in Glock 43 or 43X sized gun.  With 20 rd capacity!

It will likely be the .22 everyone thinks.

Also- Gen 5 is not much of an improvement over Gen 3 in my book.  Trigger is meh- not a big improvement on the couple I have used.  One was better than a worn in Gen 3 trigger, the other worse.  I think the G45 is stupid and a G17 slide on a G19 frame would be better.  I have put thousands of rounds thru Gen 5's in 17's, 19 and 19X/45 models, so not a small sampling.  I dislike the ambi slide stop where I want my trigger finger to be resting in a ready position.  (Learn to run it left handed- it isn't hard with training and practice even with Gen 1-4).  Orange mag follower- big deal.  Accuracy isn't better with the new barrels either from the ones I have used.

Anyhow- couple more days we will know I guess.

You can fit a CZ 75 double stack mag in a G43. Glock single stack mags with 2 walls (one metal liner, one polymer exterior) are the same width as other companies' single-walled metal double stack mags.

A company is currently working on a 15-round metal factory-length mag for the G43. I've been following a thread on it for months:

I'm sure it's been said in the 15 pages but my money is on a glock PCC.

Would be innovative (for Glock since they don't innovative) and wouldn't take much of a stretch engineering wise to make it happen.

There's a number of evolutionary features Glock could incorporate:

-Removable backstraps with adjustable grip angles, allowing shooters to replace the backstrap to suit their natural point of aim (Glock grip angle, CZ grip angle, 1911 Grip angle, etc.) This is currently done by Lone Wolf on their Timberwolf frame, and then subsequently by Shadow Systems frame.

-Single action trigger. Currently the Walther PPQ, HK VP9, CZ P10, and likely a few others are using crisp, single action triggers, with the PPQ being especially good.

Those two simple moves - allowing users to change the Glock grip angle + crisp single action trigger - would create a fundamentally "new" Glock experience for "Gen 6." Arguably, its what they should have done for Gen 5.

Fun fact and I don't think I'm the first to leak it, it's a line of backpacks and "range bags".

I do wish they would do a Gen 6 gun, make it a 17 with extra finger grooves and no light rail. Literally the opposite of what everyone really wants (which is a gen 2 gun with a light rail). Just to troll folks.
