I actually think conure eyes are really cool. Check out the eyelashes.  Also the tiny feathers. I don't think you realize how their feathers actually work until you get to spend some times around a bird.  The last pic is his feathers all fluffed up to be "preened" (or scratched in this case).
I love this little guy (not mine). He has a ton of personality and talks a lot.

My brother has a Nanday and my ex had a Sun Conure. Cool birds but they didn't scare me at all. My moms African Grey on the other hand... it's an evil bastard.

My brothers GF had a green cheek that got out and my terrier killed when I was visiting She got a blue Quaker and he's a great talker and a ton of fun.

This shockingly high-res and colorized photo was taken over 100 years ago, and shows a crew of men unloading a banana boat in New York.

Atomic bomb "Little Boy" in a bomb pit, ready to be loaded onto the B-29 bomber "Enola Gay" on Tinian, Mariana Islands, on August 6, 1945.

notice the TOP SECRET stamp at top.  I bet this nuclear secret photo was recently recovered in an FBI raid!
I just wonder how much these guys knew? (obviously from the guys standing above, they had to know, but could they really comprehend?

What's so once in a lifetime about an eagle walking on ice?

There's water flowing under [it]?

Not really a fail.

Designed to be launched like that.

Probably not balanced because unloaded ( water, provisions, fuel ) and no passengers.

In 1938, pumpkins with human faces have been produced by John M. Czeski, Ohio farmer, after four years of experimenting.

To grow the novel fruit, Czeski fashions an aluminum mold of the head he wants to reproduce, and places it around a growing pumpkin approximately the size of a small grapefruit. After the pumpkin has expanded enough to fill the inside contours, the mold is removed.

The print of the features remains as the pumpkin continues to grow, and the final result is a lifelike full-size image in the ripened fruit.

For the modern ones, it beats burning alive on an oil rig. Those ones also stay upright.
