My wetsuit would have been filled to the brim with poop if I had been in that cage.

Put a bunch on a c17 and push them and a few extra batteries out the back.  Excellent SF insertion/extraction vehicle.

I wonder how far it can fly in 20 minutes.

I wonder how far it can fly in 20 minutes.

A google search says its top speed is 63mph, so a range of about 20 miles.

The problem is the capacity is 210lbs, although that's with a safety margin of losing an engine built in...

"This is your reminder that Cleopatra lived closer in time to today than she did to the construction of the Pyramids of Giza. They are impossibly old.

More mind-blowing facts about the world's most enigmatic structures:

1. They are aligned to true north with incredible accuracy. The Great Pyramid is just 3.4 arcminutes off perfect alignment, or precision of ~1 millimeter per meter of the length of its base.

2. The Great Pyramid was the tallest building in the world for around 3,800 years, until it was surpassed by Lincoln Cathedral in the 14th century.

3. They do not contain any hieroglyphs or paintings, nor were any burial treasures or mummies found within. By contrast, the tombs at the Valley of the Kings are decorated with intricate hieroglyphic texts and artworks from floor to ceiling.

4. They were once covered in gleaming white limestone casing stones (as pictured). Some researchers also think the capstones at the top were plated with precious metals.

5. ~2.3 million stone blocks make up the Great Pyramid, averaging 2.5 tons in weight. Quarrying these with little else than copper saws, chisels and pounding stones, then transporting and lifting them into place, is the most remarkable engineering feat ever accomplished.

6. The casing stones and inner chamber blocks of the Great Pyramid were fit together with such high precision that a knife's edge cannot fit between them.

7. The Great Pyramid weighs nearly 6 million tons in total. Today, the only structures exceeding this are the Great Wall of China and the Three Gorges Dam.

8. When Napoleon visited the Great Pyramid in the late 18th century, he (correctly) calculated that it contained enough material for a 10-foot high wall around the entire perimeter of mainland France.

9. Of the thousands of hieroglyphs found across Egypt, none of them mention how the pyramids were built or how the Egyptians cut stone. In fact, there are very few Ancient Egyptian texts found which mention the pyramids at all."

ETA: 1 more fact: The Pyramid of Khufu is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence, despite its being the oldest wonder by about 2,000 years.

What I find funny is theres a larger pyramid in mexico. Also, no one questions who built pyramids elsewhere around the world.

Do the mexican pyramids have writings/paintings inside? Which ones are considered the oldest? Have writings about the construction of mexican pyramids been found?

I live in coastal Alaska. A good friend was out anchored with his boys when their 23” aluminum boat was attacked by an orca. It jerked the anchor line hard then hit the side of the boat.

There is video online somewhere and it made the news in the UK of all places.

Rifle barrel made from rebar - PART 3. Shooting it!

Someone made a 22 rifle using a piece of rebar as the barrel (has a rifled liner pressed in).

Does this count as a heavy bull barrel?

It looks almost like a homemade weapon from Fallout.

For decades, the Amazon harbored a botanical secret an extraordinary tree with leaves of human dimensions. Veiled in mystery, scientists lacked the genetic blueprint until 2005 when intrepid botanists, exploring the ancient Jamari National Forest, gathered seeds from this elusive specimen. Patiently nurtured, these seeds finally bloomed after thirteen years, revealing the tree's genetic code and earning it a name: Coccoloba gigantifolia, a testament to the colossal wonders hidden in the heart of the Amazon.

1 - it's not supposed to be a picture of the 92 riots, it's suggesting that it might be time for rooftop koreans again
2 - it's not an AK, it's a VZ58

Two medical students were walking along the street when they saw an old man walking with his legs spread apart. He was stiff-legged and walking slowly. One student said to his friend:

"I'm sure that poor old man has Peltry Syndrome. Those people walk just like that."

The other student says: "No, I don't think so. The old man surely has Zovitzki Syndrome. He walks slowly and his legs are apart, just as we learned in class."

Since they couldn't agree they decided to ask the old man. They approached him And one of the students said to him,

"We're medical students and couldn't help but notice the way you walk, but we couldn't agree on the syndrome you might have. Could you tell us what it is?"

The old man said, "I'll tell you, but first you tell me what you two fine medical students think."

The first student said, "I think it's Peltry Syndrome."

The old man said, "You thought - but you are wrong."

The other student said, "I think you have Zovitzki Syndrome."

The old man said, "You thought - but you are wrong."

So, they asked him, "Well, old timer, what do you have?"

The old man said, "Well, I thought it was GAS - but I was wrong, too!"
