Just took a screen shot of that first turn. How HAM isn't even investigated is beyond me. He isn't even close to making the corner.

2nd half of this video should give you some history on the little bitch that Johnny Hebert is. And, how he is actually biased against Alonso.

Does the TV camera angles seem to suck ass at this track? Is it that or were they just shitters running the camera selection during the race.

I was noticing down some of the "back" areas the trees were blocking cams. It was tough to follow cars.

Yes, he is THAT good. He was knocking wheels with Ferrari and Merc with a FAR inferior car for 2-3 seasons consecutively. Now in the "best" car (although strangely Checo is typically right in the pack with Ferrari, McClaren, and Aston..hmm), he is putting on clinics on a regular basis.  You did indeed acknowledge him being a good driver, I guess I just STRONGLY disagree with the 2nd statement.

With some experience and maturity, he is a top driver now.

And to piss some people off, by comparison, Lewis tied his teammate Fernando Alonso and lost the WDC by a point. In no small part due to his team in keeping him out on worn out tires in China.

Ummm, reading is hard for some. This argument, and my post was in response to a claim that Max is NOT a top driver and is just gifted with the best car. But, please go on making my pt.

Clearly  No one is saying Max isn't a top tier driver. I even said so in my post that you responded to.  Lets try another approach.  Why do  you think Hamilton stopped winning races in 2022?  Do  you think Max would be winning nearly every race if he was driving a Merc?  How about a Williams?

And I quote (from your original post that started this exchange...)
Max is a very good driver.  He isn't that good though, he is in the fastest car on the grid.  A few years ago the Mercs were doing the same thing. The difference is Hamilton had a faster teammate.

Lets try a different approach.  Do you actually think Checo is a comparable driver to Charles, Carlos, Lando or Oscar?  (or Alonso, George or Lewis for that matter)   He is second in the WDC and ended last year second.  Do you think he would be there in a different car?  I like Checo, but he is not in the top tier of F1 drivers. If Carlos goes to RB next year, if I had to bet, I would bet on Max being faster, but the delta will shrink by a lot.

Also, it is unusual that the WDC doesn't correlate with the constructor's championship. (Max, Lewis and Michael have done it IIRC and in all cases they were a close 2nd for the CC)

I don’t see the dispensation being granted since it’s written in the rules.  What incentive is there for the FIA to make an exception?  Logan Sargent sucking isn’t the FIA’s problem.

Maybe they have given up on this formula and are working on 2026.

Hardcore enough that it seems one of the stewards just can't let it go.

But, if you paid attention, you'd see that wasn't the start of it.

That assumes Carlos can adjust to the car quickly.  Checo has had quite a long time to adapt to the way Max likes his setup and it's a style that most drivers find very challenging.

Fair bit of chaos in that race. I might watch the academy race just to get a sense of how the track is evolving.
