The Alpha Tauri documentary just dropped.

ETA: Ehh….probably not worth watching. It presents as a flowery press release at an introductory level of F1 understanding.

No argument here. I read the article on the F1 app and had to make sure i hadn’t clicked on a Babylon Bee article.

PS - I’m convinced Idiocracy is a documentary from the future.

People are already calling it V-CARB.

If they go back to this sexy livery I'll be fine with the name change.

It's the Miami model. I like Miami, and Baku, but I am unconvinced we need more. Not if it costs legacy tracks.

Barcelona did not always produce a good race, but it also gave us this:

Well I am sure he will make a bunch of money - but I doubt he will ever win a championship with them.

Honestly Charles is more than good enough but I don't think the Ferrari team can do it the way they operate now.

He doesn’t really have many options.

One sign of progress at Ferrari is the announcement yesterday that they are getting into Americas Cup style sail boat racing. That allows them to pay top dollar for fluid dynamics ninjas, something they can’t really do with the budget cap.

I also read a couple weeks ago that they've brought Rory Byrne in as a consultant to "mentor" current chief aerodynamicist, Enrico Cardile.
Now, I don't see Byrne as a Newey, but he was responsible (partly) for the longest run of success in Ferrari's history. So maybe that
will be helpful.

They're also saying that the new car will be "95% new" compared to the SF-23. Bold strategy. They'll either hit it out of the park
or get pushed down into the lower mid-field IMO. We'll see.

2024 ARFCOM Formula 1 Prediction Survey

As the preseason ramps up I would like to post this year's prediction survey.

36 questions this year.

Prizes for this season:

1st place will receive a 1/43 scale model of the winning car/driver generously donated by @Tifosi
2nd place will receive a $50 Brownell's gift card
3rd place will receive a P-Mag generously donated by @Plumber576

Rules:
Only 1 submission allowed!
Survey closes on Thursday, February 29th at the beginning of FP1 in Bahrain.
It is possible some questions are not answered until after the 2024 season is over, in that case no points will be awarded for those questions.
Ambiguous situations or tied questions will be answered in the most logical way possible. Can't promise it will be perfect, F1 is really weird sometimes...

Formula 1 and the Rolex 24 At Daytona

https://www.imsa.com/news/2024/01/24/formula-1-and-the-rolex-24-at-daytona/

In all, nearly 200 drivers who have started a Formula 1 Grand Prix have also competed in the Rolex 24. As of this coming weekend, the list will include 36 F1 race winners and six World Champions –

Alonso, Jenson Button, Jack Brabham, Phil Hill, Denis Hulme and Mario Andretti. Button, the 2009 F1 top gun, will compete for the overall win in this year’s Rolex 24 as part of the lineup in Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti’s No. 40 Acura ARX-06 in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class.

Ten other drivers who have raced in F1 are also entered in this year’s Rolex 24: Jack Aitken, Sebastien Bourdais, Gianmaria Bruni, Paul di Resta, Marcus Ericsson, Romain Grosjean, Brendon Hartley, Felipe Massa, Felipe Nasr and Alexander Rossi.
