not sure if Leclerc really has an issue with the front braking or if he is just frustrated..
but he has missed 5-6 breaking already Can Leclerc beat russel ? Can Sainz get Perez ? these are now the bets for sure Sainz is a smooth operator with the tires |

nice to see cars with bright colors coming back. I miss when each team ran different primary colors instead of every one running black with so color trim.

sainz is about a second faster average than Leclerc. I dont see how it cannot be something with the front as he claimed.

Looks like Red Bull was about the only ones with tire mgt good enough to stick with the predicted S-H-S strategy. Everyone else seems to be S-H-H.

Strange that Leclerc just set fastest lap if he has bad brake problems. Wonder if there was something with one of front tires or wheels that went away when he changed tires.

SO basically its what we all predicted weeks ago..
RB Ferrari Mercedes Mclaren the gaps are a bit smaller than last year, but not close either Ferrari adressed their tire management issues (seeing how they went away from russel and the mclaren at the end), but they clearly are not as fast as RB |

oh well...
this budget cap and limited testing era shows one thing, ONCE again... its almost impossible to catch up after 1 team has an initial advantage at the beginning of a rule period. I remember an era in which it was possible, multiple times mid season- sucks. |

Its also a consequences of the budget cap/limited testing rules... the budget cap idea was to let outsiders compete (in theory).... in the end, it never happen. The 3-4 big teams are always on topm anyway. Its just that now, the top team who comes up with the best initial concept can't be countered by the others. Yes, RB is better because they came up with the best concept, twice now... But basically a year is over before it started. 20 years ago, in this situation, Mercedes or Ferrari would have spent twice as much and developped a second car in parralel. |
