How ironic at a Formula E race.
Police everywhere, this is how it's done.

In NASCAR news, isn't it odd that after JHN signs with Legacy, Noah gets the all-clear from NASCAR?
If he doesn't already have a ride Jayski's says there will be six Cup seats available next year.

NASCAR fans are saddened by Sunday morning's tragic death.

Sherry Pollex, a longtime figure in the NASCAR garage world, died at the age of 44 years old, following a battle with cancer.

"Sherry Pollex, a fixture in the NASCAR garage who championed childhood cancer research and treatment and whose fight against ovarian cancer over the last nine years served as an inspiration to many, has died at age 44," Bob Pockrass tweeted.

Hey Ticketmaster, why aren't there any butts in all of those seats you told me were sold when I went to buy tickets a month or so ago?

I haven't been to a race there since COVID but had made the four before that. In every one of those races I bought the last ticket in a section I wanted to sit in and when the race started I was the only one sitting in that entire section.
Yet the track and NASCAR will say the race is a sellout.
NASCAR do better on ticket sales.
Rumor has it this will be a spring race next year.

This would have made a nice night race but NBC won't go head-to-head with the NFL. At least it wasn't on the first day of deer season in November like it usually is. Also, competition from the Plano Ballon Fest, SMU/TCU football, and FOUR gun shows within 50 miles helped in keeping the crowd down.  If they get a spring race next year I hope they can wait till May or early June. As we know from the last 25 years March and April tend to get rained out or be colder than hell.
Rumor is they are going to make another change to the track for next year. With the new car, leave the track alone and work on the stands. They aren't drawing 250 thousand per race anymore, take out every other row, put stadium seating everywhere, and put in tables with power and wifi. Make the 100K that do show up comfortable and pampered.

They did this at one of their other tracks and it has been a big hit with their crowds.
A grandstand upgrade would be way cheaper than reconfiguring the track again.

Sorry. I've been out of it.

I can't say but I assume it's about the contract between Reser's and JGR.

Reser's has been a sponsor of the 20 car in the past--years ago.

The contract with JGR has gone back over 10 years now, so I assume they have some alternative options.  And, with MTJ leaving the sponsorship will be moving to one of the other drivers like Bell.

I don't blame him.  NASCAR wants him to run his team at a loss to possibly train the driver that will be replacing him down the line.  He can also only run 5 races for the team that has his name on the building.   Fuck that shit.

There was speculation on the national talk shows today that he may not have been making much or any money on the truck team and a $25 million Unicorn deal might have been too good to pass up.

Harvick, Keslowski others I may have forgotten having already learned the lesson that ownership requires deep pockets and deep pocketed sponsors I'm not certain why *any* driver would *ever* own a team. Smoke may be learning that hard lesson now and I would not be the least bit surprised to see a total sell out to Haas or both sell it out to someone else in the near term. Bush probably saw the writing on the wall and bailed while he could.

Don't know where this would leave his plans for his son but I guess the name alone might get him a ride elsewhere. Same with Harvick's son.

Haas F1 adventure has to be draining the resources at an alarming rate and it appears to be going no where.

But I'm a poor and just don't understand the way big business racing works so pay no attention to me.

* Yes I know Brad is a 'partner' in a Cup team but that's not the same level as a sole owner and he may be a slow learner for all I know.
