Also a lie.  Ukraine has the same conditions placed on all their LR weaponry and has abided by all of them.  No one thinks that Ukraine is suddenly going to start pounding Moscow with donated cruise missiles.  Not even Scholtz.
The reason is either cowardice or compromise with a slim possibility of planning.

I'm not saying they aren't useful and I'm aware that the Russian radar and AD systems are somewhat downward compatible in theorie. I'm just curious why these old radars started appearing in late 2023 - there must be a good reason, because these old systems are having a lot of downsides in comparison with the newer systems.

Or HARMs. We have essentially no idea what scale they’re being supplied/used on or how effective they’ve been.  Neither side is going to release that info and there isn’t any BDA that we have access to.

Really. In one of the 'scary NATO!' threads, somebody actually made a post that was nothing but personal support for Putin, that he's not nearly as bad as US Democrats. US Dems are pretty awful, but not like that.

Yes it is.  And the worst part is that our so-called "leadership" class encouraged this crap as long as they were getting their 10%.  Ukraine and Israel are just a couple of the bill payers for 40 of US political, geopolitical and foreign policy malpractice as well as malevolent corruption and willful incompetence.

Ukraine: France takes stock of military equipment delivered

Directorate: Ministry of the Armed Forces / Published on: March 3, 2024

Since the start of the war, France has provided equipment and materials adapted to the context of engagement of the Ukrainian armed forces. These deliveries respect three criteria: delivering complete capabilities (equipment with ammunition, training and equipment maintenance), without weakening our armies and by controlling escalation.

In total, France delivered a total value of 2.615 billion euros of military equipment to Ukraine, to which are added 1.2 billion euros donated to the European Peace Facility (EFF), i.e. support of more than 3.8 billion euros between February 24, 2022 and December 31, 2023. This financial effort is accompanied by determined action in terms of training since nearly 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already and already been trained by the armies in Poland and France.

At the same time, France contributes to the security of the eastern flank of Europe through land deployments in Romania as a framework nation and in Estonia, through temporary air deployments in Lithuania and from the mainland as well as through a permanent maritime presence in Baltic and Mediterranean.

Below, the quantitative list of military equipment actually delivered to Ukraine since the start of Russia's aggression on Ukrainian territory on February 24, 2022, until December 31, 2023 (deliveries of equipment carried out since 2024).

Yes, plus long range drones, and air defense stuff that foolishly ends up in range of Himars.  there can be alot of attrition that is not getting reported or covered.

ISW assessment for March 3rd.

https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-march-3-2024

Recent relatively high Russian aviation losses appear to be prompting a significant decrease in Russian aviation activity in eastern Ukraine, although it is unclear how long this decrease in activity will last. Ukrainian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk stated on March 2 that Russian aviation activity completely stopped in eastern Ukraine around 19:00 local time following the Ukrainian downing of two Russian Su-34 aircraft.[9]

Ukrainian Air Force Spokesperson Colonel Yuriy Ihnat stated that the decrease in Russian aviation activity continued on March 3 and that Russian forces have continued not to fly A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft following the destruction of an A-50 aircraft on February 23.[10] Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces have lost 15 aircraft since February 17, which is not negligible for the Russian military given that Russia likely has about 300 various Sukhoi fighter aircraft.[11]

Previous Russian aircraft losses have prompted Russian forces to temporarily decrease aviation activity throughout Ukraine for significant periods of time, although it remains unclear how long this current period of temporary decreased Russian aviation activity will last.[12] Russian forces appeared to tolerate an increased rate of aviation losses in recent weeks in order to conduct glide bomb strikes in support of ongoing Russian offensive operations in eastern Ukraine, and the Russian command may decide in the future to assume the risk of continued aviation losses in pursuit of further tactical gains.[13]

Agree 100%. Ukraine is absolutely dependent on the steady flow of aid and they would not jeopardize that by going against the absurd ROE from Germany and the USA. Probably one of the reasons for the slow trickle of aid.

#ГУРпамятье

🫡 In memory of Hero of Ukraine Valery Chibineev

▫️ On March 3, 2022, the Hero of Ukraine, the officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Valery Chibineev turned 34 years old.

▫️ That day, he was on the front lines of Kyiv's defense against Moscow's terrorist forces, and to his wife's message that in 9 months they would become parents, he could only respond with a short "Wonderful!"

⚔️ The pressure of the Russians grew.

▫️ A group of snipers led by Valery Chibineev advanced to a position near Gostomel to cover the volunteers who joined the battle with the enemy.

▫️ Valeriy then personally destroyed at least 9 Russian combat landing vehicles.

"When he ran out of ammunition for the [large-caliber rifle] Barrett, he switched to the automatic and continued to destroy the enemy like a normal rifleman,
" recalled a military intelligence officer, a close friend and comrade-in-arms of Valeriy; then they fought the invaders together.

▫️ On March 3, 2022, Valery Chibineev died in a fierce firefight.

▫️ He devoted his whole life to his mother, Ukraine.

▫️ At war with the Russians - since 2014. Passed the hottest spots, including Donetsk airport, Lyman, Avdiivka. He became one of the best professional soldiers in the history of the Ukrainian army.

▫️ Valery's rank engraved with victory is in our memory forever.

🙏 Eternal glory to the Hero of Ukraine, intelligence officer, sniper, paratrooper Valery Chibineev!

🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!

▫️ After Valeriy's death, his wife gave birth to a daughter, Marta. He says that she will have the character of her parents - persistent and purposeful.

🔗 Read more about Valery Chibineev's last fight in Anna Hudz's article on Novynarna.

Vatniks like to say Russia does not conduct meat assaults which are unsupported infantry attacks--a strategy modern armies no longer practice. One reason is that democracies are accountable to their citizens and needlessly slaughtering your citizens like this would never be tolerated. That concept does not exist in Putin's Russia.

In this video, the 3rd Assault Brigade near Avdiivka gives a meat assault of ChMobiks a large dose of democracy in the form of conventional and cluster (DPICM) artillery. The entire assault is neutralized without a single AFU fighter being wounded or killed, or even coming into direct contact with then enemy. And this is why tiny little Ukraine has been able to hold back the mighty "2nd Army of the World" for two years.

LMAO.  You get what you pay for.

The head of the Russian defense conglomerate Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, confirmed that the state-of-the-art Russian tank, the T-14 “Armata,” is not being deployed in the war in Ukraine, which the Kremlin has labeled a “special military operation.”

Chemezov attributed this decision to the tank’s exorbitant cost, indicating that the military is opting for the more economical T-90 tanks instead. He underscored the prohibitive expense of the Armata as a deterrent to its immediate deployment, stressing the need for funds to develop newer and more cost-effective tank models.

“In terms of its functionality, it certainly surpasses existing tanks, but it’s too expensive, so the army is unlikely to use it now. It’s easier for them to buy the same T-90s,” Chemezov said.

Despite this, Chemezov confirmed that the T-14 “Armata” remains part of the Russian Army’s arsenal.

The T-14 “Armata” has been the subject of much speculation since its unveiling, with Russian propaganda previously claiming its active participation in combat operations as early as 2023. However, no concrete evidence has surfaced to support these claims, casting doubts on the tank’s actual deployment in battle.

Developed as part of the Armata standardized platform, the T-14 tank was intended to be a significant advancement in Russian military technology. Despite initial plans to procure a large fleet of T-14s, delays and cost concerns have tempered its widespread adoption.
