It was headed at our county airport which is not unusual. Never seen one like it definitely an attack helicopter I'm pretty sure it had duel rotors I did not think we had something like that in service.
Any idea what it could have been? |

Based on the pics, it's definitely a dikfer. Highly classified.

You need to do some googling and post some similar pics or do some MS Paint because the amount of info you have provided does not make it a compelling question to answer.

Like two baldes on top of each other?
Or more like the osprey? |
|
Negative.
I have it from sources on the inside that it's the Henweigh Model 87 technology demonstrator. Super secret, hush hush, this thread will soon self-destruct. |

Didn't have time to take a picture. I don't think there are many dual rotor helos out there.

Possibly an Osprey
Maybe OP doesn't get out of the basement much and/or saw it from an odd angle? |

"Definitely an attack helicopter" based upon A) ordnance hanging off hardpoints, or B) simply a narrow, non-troop carrying fuselage?
If the latter, maybe a K-Max? Only thing I can think of with intermeshing rotors that fits the bill in the US. Primarily used in logging and other external lift ops, but the military has a limited number of them. Kaman K-Max |

What color?
100% sure it wasn't a transverse dual rotor setup? Could have been a Kaman. Only other US aircraft I can think of that looks attacky would be the Raider mentioned above, but AFAIK they were testing in Florida. |

The rotor shafts are close together so it could be very easy to mistake for a conventional dual rotor system. |
