Goff playing at career high levels is the more concerning part. 9th year in the league and he is balling out without being asked to do to much. Very comfortable place to be playing for him right now.

Career high comp%, almost a full 10% higher than his average
Career high TD%, 2% higher than his career average
Career high YPA, more than a yard higher than his career average
Career high PR, 20 points higher than average, 14 higher than his best previous season

Dude might be looking at his first All-Pro season considering the other NFC quarterbacks.

SOS is strictly win/loss of your opponents.
The Chiefs opponents are currently 33-37 (.471).
That ranks 21/32 at this point and time in the season.

DVOA is definitely a more telling statistic than SOS, but what I said is accurate as far as pure SOS (as it is defined as a statistic category).

Edit: And there's no way we are getting DVOA for the 1969 Rams.

Saints will eat $30M in deadcap next season on Lattimore. But still is slightly less than they were already scheduled to have, and it also clears the book on Lattimore vs the 3 more years of cap hit he was scheduled for.

Saints fans can only hope this is the start of them tanking/eating it next year so they can head into a fresh 2026 rebuild.

The salary cap isn’t real and the Saints have spent a decade proving it.

If I'm not rooting for the chiefs, I'm rooting for Detroit. It used to be the browns, but not with Watson there. I want a team with a low history to win.

The Saints leveraged their future to try and get it done one more time with Drew Brees and they have been riding the wave of kicking it down the road since. It has been constant conversions of salary to bonuses to divide the cap into future years and void years every season.

They should have done a reset in 2021 when they were experimenting with Winston, Siemian and Taysom. But they have continued to just push it back and back and back. Hence why we talk about it every off-season. They've only managed to be barely competitive over the last three seasons (25-26, .490), and this year they are plummeting. It's time to spend one year just wiping the slate clean and then move on.

Of course, it's a fucking awful situation for whoever they decide to make the new head coach.

Kamara signed a contract extension two weeks ago and is on the books until 2028. Did losing to the Panthers finally break them?

I missed that one, and looking at the book, it's the same old fucking Saints doing the same old Saint shit... Would not be glad/optimistic about that if I was a Saints fan.
  • Extended a running back into his thirties, and gave him 78.5% of the contract fully guaranteed with an additional injury guarantee.
  • He already has 4 years (including this year) remaining on cap from two previous restructures.
  • This year was the last year of his signing bonus cap hit from his previous contract and they just laid another 5 year (2 void) on top with this extension.
  • Will carry a $18.6M cap hit into the 2026 season when he is 31. With an additional $8M of void year dead cap remaining.
Will the Saints ever learn? They now have a 1st, 2nd, two 3rds, two 4ths and two 6ths. Would have been really simple to draft a new running back next year to put into the system and he would be locked down for 4 years for less than a single year they are paying Kamara.

This is an NFL thread. Football fans talk shit, talk about shit, and shit on other teams or players they dont like. Its sports...

Patriots fans had to deal with shit for how long? How often do we talk about the Bills choking, Josh being a spaz or The 4 Falls of Buffalo? Dont see my panties wadded up like yours. And hell, I was shitting on Josh the beginning of last season because he was playing horribly. Its sports...

Rams are sending CB Tre'Davious White and a 2027 () 7th to the Ravens for a 2026 () 7th.

Edit: White is completely washed. Tore his Achilles last year and has been complete ass this season. Trading a 7th two drafts from now, for him and a 7th three drafts from now...

Double: Illustrating his current play, he is surrendering a 138.4 passer rating when targeted. Has given up 4 touchdowns and has 4 missed tackles on just 12 targeted completions. Almost 15 yards per completion.

Triple: He's only earning a $1.5M base salary this season. Free agent at the end of the year. Will cost the Ravens about $800k for the rest of the year if they keep him that long.

Brandon Williams "officially" announced his retirement as a Raven today.

9 years with Baltimore (2013-21), 1 with the Chiefs (2022).

125 snaps with KC, but played in the Super Bowl (14 snaps, 0 tackles). Enough to get a ring.

Edit: Wow. He looks like he lost a lot of weight. Good for him health wise. Dude used to be ~350? I remember he was called "Big Baby" while playing in Baltimore. Not so big anymore.

Double Edit: For comparison:
