At 37 million dollars a copy for a first stage booster, that's a lot of hardware cost that didn't have to be replaced by letting them splash into the ocean!

I see that close counts in horseshoes,  hand grenades,  nuclear bombs, and fairing catches.  Well done!

Thanks Chokey!
Never saw a fairing caught-recovered.
They cost a few million $$$ IIRC.

Why so many delays is not being revealed.  I think that this is another fifth launch on this booster.  SpaceX is setting the standard on first stage reuse for this type launch system so appropriate prudence is needed to avoid fatigue or component failure from causing a launch failure.

It would be interesting to know if the delays are due to this type concern.

I do applaud them for not falling prey to "get there-itis" which is a killer in general aviation.

Had a few thunder boomers and some rain but it stopped about an hour ago.
Went outside to look at the sky a few minutes ago and it looked liked it was clearing off.
Still about 3 hours to launch so it might be a go.

Been a long day, probably going to miss this one.
