The following article suggests that SpaceX needs more first stages, as I noted recently.

I don't know.  They would need special hardware to attack to the center core but I suspect that that hardware could be removed or left as a standalone booster.   Just a guess.

The reason heavy took so long is none of the three cores are standard F9 cores. Lots of re-engineering for stresses they never endure as singlets. I don’t think they are at all interchangeable with standard cores.

Been rainy here all day. Saw the Sun briefly  around 8 this morning.  Just had a small precip event but currently it's 100% overcast.  Supposed to be 60 to 80 % rain for the next 7 days. Rain may clear out in 2 hours  but I don't  think the overcast will.

Not sure about the launch parameters  but I do think they will need clear sky to go.

Is the booster supposed to make a landing on the barge or here ?

Stupid question I know, OCISLY pulled in to the Port yesterday, IDK if it unloaded and headed out again.

Starlink payloads are around 16 tonnes, so they need the barge.

Jessica deserves me.

If you are in the eastern seaboard  (GA, SC, NC) you may see it visually.

Sides and F9s are interchangable, core is new/different.

Those upgrades to Just Read the Instructions look to be paying off, hopefully that is the end of the loss of signal errors on landings.

8*60 = 480.  A few are not operational.  Forgot about the two test payloads.

Check this link for good passes over the USA.

Do they have a projected number of launches for those boosters before they retire them, or are they still figuring that out?

Guesstimate is about ten without major refurbishment.

This is new territory so assume a learning process.

Same with the satellite design.  Each satellite only has to support its own weight, the blocks on the corners transfer all the load.
