The Olympics came to Atlanta and sued to make the Olympic Flame restaurant change the name. The restaurant was owned by a Greek guy and had been there for 30 years.

If the olympics were cancelled from this day forward, I literally wouldn’t notice on my own. I’d learn of it by hearing other people bitch.
ETA: the look is obviously on purpose. If you replaced the lips with a miniature version of the overall flame outline there would be zero confusion. That’s also what makes the most sense if you were actually trying to make it look like a flame. There is no reason to have the base of the flame look like a pair of lips, other than to subtly virtue signal. |
