Nice!

Not as nice as when Jaqueline Bissett popularized the Wet T-Shirt in "The Deep"

but right up there on the Mt. Rushmore of my teenaged memories

Catherine Bach was so fucking hot. As a kid I loved the Duke bros and the General Lee, but I think subliminally she was why I liked the show. lol

Hot, but not Catharine hot. Also, Willie Nelson should never, ever been let near a movie production. He can't fucking act. He should have been beat to an inch of his life back in the seventies for his "acting".

I loved that show. The general Lee was great,  ol cooter was great, roscooooooo P coltraine was great.  Nobody watched that show for the general, cooter or rosco, It was only to get a glimpse of Daisy. godamn she was hot.
I bet there were a lot of kittens killed because of her.

I remember being super excited after seeing the commercials for Dukes of Hazzard.
I had all my hot wheels cars out on the coffee table waiting for it the show to start.
Good memories

That show couldn't be written today. Or at least Catherine Bach (Bo) would have to be cast at a black boy transexual to white female.

The beauty of it is the Network was so nervous about the shorts they made her wear pantyhose which screamed for heels which completed (that part of) the package.
Thank You.

I wonder if anyone could find a news, article or column, or magazine story where someone found that confederate flag offensive at the time the show was on the air? Nobody found it offensive, and nobody thought it was racist, until the Democrat party told them to.

Who else had the Daisy Duke poster on their wall as a kid?
Dad was a fireman in the area where they filmed most of the show and to earn some extra money he signed up to work on a bunch of movies and tv shows. They needed a fire crew on stand by incase something happened. I still remember the night he came home with a bunch of autographed pictures of the cast, a pic of the General Lee jumping over a stream, a stack of prop money that they used in an episode and the autographed poster of Daisy Duke. That was a big deal to 9 year old me.

Those were the Jimmy Carter years.

It's hard to describe the amount of corny, cartoonish Southern Country crap in popular culture back then.

Remember interest rates then. My dad bought a  car in 79 with 24% interest. But gas was cheap. Our kids will never know about waiting for the day and time to watch anything on a 26 or 32 Inch TV. I really liked the show but missed it when I was old enough to date. Friday nights used to be really great. Now it's just another day.

It’s astonishing how far we have fallen as a society.

From that to gay trans, aids pill commercials…
