Dave. 1993.

These two.

“Dave?”
“Yes Dwane?”
“I would have taken a bullet for you.”

Dwane knew that this guy who walked in off the street was the finest president he ever served.

I still yell for Burt. I have seen the movie 50-ish times...

I still get up and yell for Burt.

No movie has done that for me.

In the sci-fi gataory I would agree.

But real life true to story stuff. TWFI wins.

Joe Dirt. He gets a family, gets the car, gets the girl...gets the good stuff. Its got everything to qualify as a 'feel good' movie.

I know that communist, Meathead Reiner, directed, but i have to go with The Princess Bride. Meathead kept the politics out and made one of the best films, for a general audience, that has ever been made.

I couldn't watch Worlds Fastest Indian without thinking he was going to attack and eat someone.  He has the same lunatic eyes in both movies, so even though he's being nice and goofy funny, it was still unsettling.

A hallmark of GD.

I posted a thread how the tenderloin had become my favorite cut of steak. Someone came in with “wrong” and posted a gristly ribeye.

Typical GD.

beitodesstrafe said I should watch it when we were discussing Nick Cage roles. I'm not into horror at all, but I hear folks saying he was great in it. I loved him in Leaving Las Vegas.
