I need a good quality UV flashlight to help me track down scorpions that have decided to begin invading my family's home in the last month. Not sure what else I would use it for, but sure I will find something.
Anyone have any experience/thoughts on a nice quality model/brand? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

My brother uses it a few times a week, he makes fishing lures and uses it to cure resin. I guess Avis year now without issue.

View Quote I found out about UV curable epoxy/resin for fly tying a few years ago, it's a game changer for tying. You can coat and secure thread wraps or add a clear coat to a popper in seconds. Just paint the resin on and hit it with a UV flashlight for 5-15 seconds and it's hardened and isn't tacky like most epoxies. Funny, if you use a light that's too intense or hold it in one spot too long the UV light will burn the resin and produce a small amount of smoke. UV flashlight can also be used to recharge anything that glows in the dark. |

Attached File Attached File I just went into the yard, this is from about 10ft away.. glows like its got batteries. Excuse the image, my camera tried to correct for low light. But the single UV beam is good for about 20-30ft easy. Attached File |

I’ve used the $30 Amazon “The Beast” to kill hundreds of scorpions.
Best thirty dollars ever spent. |

I ended up ordering an Edit: seeker 4. Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered. I appreciate everyone's feedback. Please feel free to continue discussing/sharing info about UV lights if you would like.

I also have an Arkfeld UV but the UV is much dimmer than on the Seeker 4 Mini. And yes, like was mentioned earlier, a one second blast of UV on your glow in the dark watch dial is the equivalent to putting it in fully sunlight for a minute IMO. |

If the lunatic fringe has an asshole, just think of GD as the thermometer sticking in it. If you watch it, you get some interesting readings.
