Yeah I'm back in. It's a perfect Christmas gift for my FIL and I can't pass it up. It's his favorite movie and I swear he watches it on a loop. Whenever I go over there around Christmas time it's on the TV.
Looks like I need to find some wooden AR furniture.

I haven't range tested it yet... Might not eject quite right. I'll let you know. Playing around in the shop with it, ejection seems weak. I think it might be constricting the extractor movement as it comes back into the thinner area the bolt handle travels in, right at the rear of the ejection port. I plan to try it out tomorrow. I will update then. 
Edit - I thought I might get away with using a 9mm spacer to force ejection further forward, but it is just short of picking up another round.
