Based off feedback, we are not going to bring any of them back with slight alterations. Once they are retired, they are permanently retired. We are considering doing some lowers that have not been produced yet.

Those design suggestions are perfect for political one-offs, and series stuff, like Space Force & PFG. It adds to the fun, and also helps make a point. But maybe on some designs, such as known symbols and historical images, letting the design art speak for itself might be the way to go? An example would be the Join or Die design just completed. The lower art has been completely redrawn from the actual wood cut. The snake is facing forward, and its not the same shape or pattern as the original. But the brain relates it to what it knows, as it is stylized similarly, so the redraw works to fit the lower. I'm not sure if PSA would be interested in creating a historical specific line or no. They have made similar laser etched lowers in the past, and also the H&R line is pretty awesome. It may also help eliminate any possible concerns or issues pertaining to the current gov, media, or ambulance chasers though. Which could help with some of the designs folks have asked for, but have not yet been made. So the Model and selectors would always remain the same, only the serial would change as a reference to the design, see below. I can mock up a few more if the idea is appealing. Thoughts? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53549368084_94e016f9d3_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53549470645_ebddefbffa_c.jpg View Quote I kind of agree, the nonstandard selector markings are fun for a meme lower but I think for more “serious” designs they are unnecessary. It’s a safe move also, like you said, I’m sure they can make or break a sale. ETA: I’d also recommend either dropping the “auto” altogether, or making it “safe, semi, auto” |

I wouldn't buy a join or die lower that lists the states trying to undo the nation the colonies created. May as well have Benedict Arnold lowers.

Glad youre keeping them permanently retired. . that said, I'd like a continuation of the series, im all for that.. more space force, more gremlans that'd be fine... of course some also like the holiday lowers too.. so maybe we should start those up again. we could even do a memorial day lower. I think sometimes it may be ok.. but half of what made the memes so fun is even the selectors were changed.. and yes some of those can make or break the lower. I do think though that if we had real good selector choices, that could go with the lowers theme, then thats the way to go instead of the standard wording.... that said, however, what if we were to forgo all selector words entirely, and have it produced with Pictogram markings for safe, fire and auto? That could be a work around from the selector markings entirely. the examples of the grimlan and the space force that Brick had put on the previous page were also very good if you ask me. I can see those being produced to further the lines of the Grimlan and the SpaceForce lowers. I'd also be down for a National Guard Celebration lower, if we could come up with something thats not copywrited that would represent all of the national guard as a whole i think it would be really good. If i had thought of it and had posted here sooner we could have thought about an Irish based St. Pattys day lower, theres alot to work with with all the fighting the irish do as far as lower selector markings is concerned lol. not to mention the irish mafia.. . otherwise what about a memorial day lower like i briefly mentioned above? thats the next big holiday and we have a little time before it comes around? just kicking around some ideas... @Palmettostatearmory josiah, is any of this anything that we could get moving on? |

National Guard Celebration lower - that is why I bought three of the Minuteman One for me and one for each of my boys - My dad was a full bird in the Fl Guard...
I have suggested many time s that PSA do a National Guard lower for each state - Florida has a very cool one with the logo of the Fort in St. Augustine - the location of the headquarters. Think that a lot of people would jump on that...PSA could do it as a preorder to get the number to do....have a few extra to finish off the run. All good - Think the focus needs to be more on the good series than the flash in the pan "current BS".... Red |
