Two weeks ago I had my car get its annual checkup.
It passed but those mechanics moved the drivers seat!!  I'm still trying to find the Exact Location it was before the inspection.  Oh, to find that Sweet Spot it had before it was moved.....

Nobody ever gives a shit where the seat is when they drop off, but look the fk out when they pick it up.  It's like they didn't read the owner's manual or sumthin

I'm pretty avg size so can usually squeeze in the tight ones, or still reach the pedals on the tall ones.
The main reason I don't fuck with shit is because I don't want to be the asshole if it fks up.
After a few stuck seats and windows that don't roll back up, you learn to fk with as little as possible

The worst is when people go all CSI when they pick up and think every rock chip and door ding since last years insp happened that day at the shop

Anybody going to be watching The Mummers parade tomorrow?
It's about the only day in the year that Philly is worth visiting

Damn it got real cold real suddenlike.

I went from taking the dog out in a sweatshirt last week to looking for a Tauntaun to hide out in while taking him out the past few days. Even worse than that is since I live in the middle of the woods as soon as it went from "really mild" to "holy fuck it's cold" out here a passel of fieldmice decided that they didn't want to turn into mousesicles and somehow found a way in, which I totally am blaming on the dog, so I've been having fun with that one over the past couple days.

Cold , well I guess.
A bit of humor for you.
We had a small home in the Poconos for years but my wife always wanted a lakefront home and when came up as a short sale we grabbed it.
In October we sold the old home to a man from Florida.

He plans to use it during the Summer.
He was told repeatedly to winterize it.
He was not at closing but was on the phone.
" I looked it up and you dont have to winterize  it's too expensive" he said.

Sooo any guesses on how many pipes will burst over this Winter

Was 6 when I woke up with a -11 wind chill, I just got back from running errands in town and it was a balmy 22 degrees.

Oddly enough it's supposed to get up to the mid-50s later in the week. I think I need to drive over to Punxsy and have a little chat with the rat named Phil...

We were going to go to the Farm Show but went to the AACA Museum (cars) in Hershey instead.  Fucking sucked compared to the last time we were there almost 10 years ago.  A whole lot more decoration, but  a lot less cars.

Used to work at that museum as security for large events and gatherings.  90% of the cars run, which is how we would move them to clear space for tables/chairs and the dance floor.  Got to drive and handle some very rare cars.

If you are ever in the Philly area (I hope not), check out the Simeone Auto Museum. Large private collection of race cars. Very impressive.

To think I was just commenting to somebody the other day of the lack of snow we've had up and to this point. Woke up this morning to 8" of heavy-ass wet snow; jinxed myself

I'm polite so I'm not going to fire up a snow blower at 4:30 in the morning and disturb the tranquility of suburbia, so I go about hand shoveling portions of my drive way just so I can out of the garage -- f.ck my back

I'd say we got around 6" of heavy wet snow.

The plow trucks added another foot at the opening of my driveway.

Got around 10" to a foot here overnight, the road I live on hasn't been plowed yet so I saw no need to clear my driveway until it is. Seeing as how my driveway is close to 200 yards long, I'm working at home and have enough food and beer to last for weeks...I'm totally fine with not feeling the need to do it either.

Small world, I went to Highland Elementary when I was a kid for a couple of years and one of my uncles taught there for close to 20 years too.

In fact, the last place I lived in DuBois was just down off Highland street on Scribner and the house was on maps of DuBois dating from 1880 or somewhere thereabouts. Everyone thinks living in a 100+ year old house sounds like fun...until you have to deal with maintaining a 100+ year old house. Then it becomes a matter of finding some other innocent soul that thinks Prohibition era wiring and even older plumbing sounds like a "nice challenge" instead of the hell that it actually is, and telling them to make an offer...
