Some of us labeled Never Trump will vote for Trump and some like me will not. He has been a great governor, but you can't really compare the two offices and say he is light years ahead, they are very different. There were a few times I got the feeling that Desantis was not ready for the bigger stage, and the corrupt DC bureaucrats would eat his lunch even worse than they did to Trump. After COVID, I wanted a better candidate than Trump, and hoped it could be Ron, but that was handily decided very early on. He is doing a lot of great things in Florida, and it would suck to have him go to DC, lose that, then get tied down and be ineffective as POTUS. |

Sorry you can't follow the conversation. As I said, it is true that Trump has not unequivocally stated support for an AWB since entering politics. Yes he did have a general conversation about considering or looking at some anti-2A things in a bipartisan meeting discussing a possible bill, that was ultimately meaningless. If you watch the video, he doesn't really say anything of substance whatsoever. Meaningless platitudes at best. So Dianne got all excited and horny over it. So what. Which is pretty understandable given how stupid this thread is. Trump still never called for or supported an AWB as the NTs love to claim over and over. Nor is he just as bad or the same on the 2A as Harris as many like to claim. He is significantly different and better on the 2A, but obviously far short of what anyone here would prefer. |

View Quote Why would he? He worships Trump, who never let a fact get in the way of what he wanted to say. The "Harris faked her rally photos with AI" screeching was quietly abandoned. A few nights ago Trump referred to man arrested at the Johnstown rally as "one of us" and spoke admiringly of what he perceived as someone going after the media. His own campaign later reported the man was anti-Trump. (We should know the truth of it later this week.) If Trump told you that the sun was rising, there's a 70% chance he's lying about it, and his supporters would gasp in delight over how bright the darkness was. The culture he's embraced is built on "lie big, lie often, lie more than any politician ever has before, and never acknowledge that you lied." So, be gentle with Mentigeek. All he has left is to pattern his behavior after Trump. |
