I have a buddy who kinda looks like that but less fat and more muscle. He is a power lifter. He always buys two seats because his shoulders don't fit in one.

I would have asked the pilot to confirm the weight and balance for the aircraft, I would have asked if they had enough trim authority for the out of CG condition that I think is happening.

Wider seats or paying for two seats is not sufficient for someone that size. He is so large, he can't possibly safely fit in the fore aft direction because there is a massive amount of flesh on both sides of the spine and legs and hips.
Furthermore, it is unethical to force someone else to be trapped in the same row. He would have to have an entire row and be positioned at the farthest point from the emergency exit to allow the other passengers the ability to evacuate. |

How does two seats solve anything? Can't buckle across two seats and the arm rest in the middle of the back would definitely suck. I'm really tall and the last time I flew they switched planes and ducked me out of the exit row seat I paid extra for.
