This is why not having stickies is counter productive.^^^^^


From the street robberies and you thread, which EVERYONE should see, even if they visit the site only once.

I get that the TPTB of the forum don't want forums cluttered with stickies.

Why not create a subforum where ONLY moderators can put a thread, and have them decide what does and does not belong in it. Put a sticky at the top of GD or wherever it needs to be that links to the subforum of stickies.

Maybe consider having multiple "sticky only" subforums. Say, one for technical. One for GD. etc.

Arf is full of subject matter experts.

The desire to keep the forums uncluttered is good, but why are we hiding this stuff from the people on the forums?!?
